1、学历证明：去英国留学需要提交学历证明，可以是在读证明或者是毕业证学位证，在读证明需要加盖学校的公章。

2、成绩单：需要提供中英文并且盖章的成绩单，一般中文成绩单可以去教务处开具，如果教务处不支持开具英文成绩单，可以交由制定的、正规的翻译机构翻译并且加盖公章;去英国留学通常要求学生的均分达到80%左右，重点大学的学生要求会稍低一些。

如果你选择和别人合租的话就要注意这点了。如果是和中国留学生住一起，相同的语言相同的文化那么你们之间的问题会少一点，反之，如果是和外国人一起住一定要尊重人家的文化，互相理解多沟通。不过不管怎么说，生活上的琐事肯定是会有的，所以如何和室友相处也是门学问。

3.安全

这个是最重要的！一定要注意自己的安全，外出记得锁门防盗，意大利每年都会发生很多入室盗窃之类的，自己一个人在家时要牢记报警电话等等，出门在外钱财是小，安全是大。

Since I was young I have always had a keen interest in the way that thethings around me work. From marvelling at the telephone to how planes can fly,engineering advances have never failed to captivate me. For this reason, I havealways tried to find out how such things function, and about how they have hadan impact on the society we live in today. Coupled with the fact that I havealways enjoyed the logical and problem-solving processes involved in maths andphysics, I decided several years ago to embark on a career in engineering.

Since then, I have endeavoured to find out as much about engineering aspossible. I researched the great engineers such as Brunel, and discovered thegreat works they had completed. I have attended several engineering conferences,the most recent of which I was selected to speak live on radio about myexperiences. And once I had completed several weeks worth of work experience, Iwas assured that it was the career that I wanted to pursue.

This summer, I took part in the Nuffield Bursary scheme for a month,working in a team, at Aerogistics Ltd. Our project was to analyse and implementa new system for the distribution of consumable materials to the individualdepartments within the company. We found the current system to be highlyinefficient and after much data gathering and thought, presented our findings tothe senior managers of the company who agreed with our ideas. The last week wasspent starting the implementation of these ideas. I found the experience to behighly challenging, yet rewarding especially as it led to me gaining a GoldCrest Award. I also found it useful as I got to see engineers at work and thedaily problems that they face. I learnt that there is a lot more to being a goodengineer than possessing technical competence, although this is undoubtedlyimportant; team work, communication and leadership skills are vital as well.

I have also recently been selected to complete two placements with armyengineers. One of these placements will focus on the more practical side ofengineering while the other will focus on the skills needed by a professionalengineer focussing on project planning and leadership. I hope to find theexperience useful.

In my spare time I like to play sport and music. In secondary school I wascaptain for the Netball and Football teams, as well as taking part in variousother sports. The experience of this greatly improved my team working abilitiesas well as my fitness. As a keen musician I am working towards my grade 5 theoryand grade 7 practical on cello. I am a member of a Youth Orchestra, and havejust recently completed a tour of Italy. I am also in the school orchestra andhave led several orchestras in the past, before progressing to the LYO.

In school, I am Deputy Head Girl, helping to lead a team of over 40prefects. I find this to be a challenging and stimulating role and believe ithas developed my confidence immensely. As well as carrying out the normal dutiesof a prefect, such as supervising younger students, I must lead and manage theother prefects. My role involves arranging rotas, organising after school eventssuch as the Year 7 social and parents evenings and public speaking as well asother responsibilities, which have developed my communication, organisation andleadership skills immensely. The role requires a lot of commitment, but it hashelped to improve my time management, as I try to strike a balance between itand school work, which is my main priority. I have also been selected to competein the Physics Olympiad and have been entered for the Biology AdvancedExtension.

During my time at university I hope to gain a good degree, which will standme in good stead for when I enter the world of work. 美国高中是9-12年级，相当于国内的初三至高三。国内学生初二毕业至高三在读学生均可申请入读美国高中。国内学生读完初二后可以直接申请入读美国高中9年级，美国高中很少接受12年级转学，因此国内高三学生若想在美国读高中，一般只能申请入读美国高中11年级。

一般而言，美国高中会要求国际学生提供英语标准化成绩，如：slep、toefl或ssat。学校通过英语标准化成绩确定该学生的英语程度，以此来决定该学生是否需要参加esl语言课程及相应年级和课程的选择。

slep在20xx年已经被全部取消，因为slep只有听力和简单的语法和阅读测验，并没有像toefl(ibt)那样，听说读写四个方面都有涉及。

目前低龄留学的考试主要看初中toefl junior俗称小托福，申请高中看toefl.如果英文的toefl(ibt)测验有考到81或者以上，则说明学生基本上已经具备了和美国同年龄的小孩同程度的英文能力，这样也就可以考虑选择不需要esl课程的学校。

申请高中的另外一个考试叫ssat，美国高中入学考试，主要是美国当地学生进入美国私立高中的考试。toefl(ibt)考到79分以上的同学，建议可以去考ssat。ssat在国内有考试，目前是在上海。

走出国门，一定会经历一段“文化冲突期”或者“文化休克期”。特别对于高中生这样的低龄留学生，在做出留学的决定前一定要做好充分的心理准备，较强的适应能力是必须的。如调整得不好，学习效果可能尚不及在国内。

性格开朗，敢于表现，一般外国特别是西方国家校园环境都比较开放，鼓励学生敢于表现自己。因此过于孤僻、自我、内向的中国学生可能不适合西方教育。

自立能力强，因为学生首次离开家，离开家长的呵护，所以许多事情需要学生自己处理，没有一定的自立能力是办不到的。

即使学习成绩一般，但要有一定的特长，如有体育特长，音乐或绘画特长等，或者学生具有非常的组织及领导能力，美国非常欣赏这样的学生，而且最能结识新的朋友。

家庭经济条件是否允许，经济条件对于出国留学是个非常重要的因素。美国的大部分高中是不授予国际学生奖学金的，所以需要一笔很大的花销。而且因为高中生的年龄比较小，也不适合靠打工维持生活，计划出国留学，一定要作好充足的预算。

对于每一个想要去美国留学的学生，在清楚了解了留学流程后才能更加顺利的出国留学。

1、参加语言考试。美国初中学入学需要参加toefl junior，高中需要参加toefl考试，而ssat考试依照学校要求而定，并不是每所学校都需要。虽然美国学校通常以托福成绩作为笔试的考量标准。有的私立学校拥有自己独立的招生考试机制，有的学校的笔试可以在网上进行从而省去了学生考托福的时间。不同考试呈现出不同的特点，但无论如何，想要到美国高中留学必先要攻克语言关。

4、填写申请表并递交学校。这是学生呈现给学校的第一份答卷，材料中的信息要尽量真实全面，同时能够充分展现学生的优势。文书材料是开启留学之路的第一步，也是学生带给美国学校的第一印象。学校希望通过学生的在校成绩单，老师推荐信，自我介绍等材料尽可能全面的了解申请人。有的学校还会要求以写作的形式回答指定的问题，个别学校需要学生在规定时间内完成一篇小作文以便了解申请人真实的语言水平和应变能力，从而达到学全面考量学生的目的。

5、面试。美国高中留学院校绝大部分会有面试环节，学校通过招生官来面对面考核学生的口语能力，逻辑思维能力和应变能力。美高美留在这里提示大家，面试在高中申请中的重要程度不亚于，面试前相应的准备是必要的。我们有很多托福考试发挥不理想的同学，由于面试准备的充分给面试官留下了好印象而破格录取的案例。

improved throughpipelining and parallel processing,the book reshaped my thinking

in computerscience.

My lab experience deepened my understanding of parallel

processing.In mythird year,I worked on a GIFT project with Dr.Komatsu,chief

researcher of IBMTokyo Research Laboratory and Dr.Koseki,one of Dr.Komatsu's

colleagues.Theproject was to introduce the architecture supports that can allow

compilers toderive more parallelism from programs.These architecture supports

include threedesigns,a conditional execution mechanism to execute instructions

withoutnormal conditional jump instructions,speculative execution mechanism,and

adynamic memory disambiguation mechanism to execute memory access

instructionssimultaneously.

As undergraduate students seldom get to be involved

in actual research,Itook full advantage of the opportunity of working in the

lab.I particularlyenjoyed the seminars held twice a week as part of the lab

work.At theseseminars,I engaged in in-depth discussions with Master's students

under Dr.Komatsu's seasoned guidance.The lab experience is adding weight and

insights tomy graduation paper An Improvement of Software pipelining using

LoopTransformations.In this paper,I will introduce a translation algorithm

usingloop interchange and loop skewing.This algorithm can minimize the

initiationinterval of loop nest to improve the performance of software

pipelining.

Through my lab experience and other research,I have developed a

long-termprofessional objective: the advancement of the parallel processing

technology.While I have strong faith in this technology,I also know its

limitations as itis today.Some sequential algorithms can't be easily translated

into fastparallel algorithms and most compilers can only distribute works on

oneplatform.Another unsettled problem is that programming parallel computers

isnow still a manual work.But even the modern language (like Java,C++) can

dosome automatic translation work.If a compiler can be developed to translate

anddistribute work into different platforms,personal computers will be able

towork like mainframe computers at a fraction of the mainframes' costs.This

willmake it possible to connect all the computers in the world and speed up all

theprocesses.

To help take the parallel processing technology beyond what is

capable oftoday,I have to undertake more advanced studies.This,I believe,can

only beaccomplished in a quality graduate program like yours.I plan to pursue

amaster's degree with a concentration on paralleling and distributing

compilers,operating systems or computer networks,a combination thereof.With the
