I am a person keen on thinking and experiencing. My lively character and
vigorous energy have made me very active in extracurricular events in which I
have sought an all-round personal development. Sociology Studies will provide me
with the kind of constant real life thinking I have always craved, while helping
me to improve my analytical, practical & communication skills. Also my
concern and curiosity about society and its people inspired me to pursue this
subject for my higher education, as I believe Sociology Studies sums up a lot in
the changing nature of society.
My education has schooling my perception of society and people leading me
to be acutely aware of social events, inequality, identities, cultures and
religious fundamentalism, especially in a society such as the one I come from -
China. I was practicing in the Chinese Hope Project during summer holidays and
volunteered to investigate the issue of low educational attendance rate for
female students in rural China with my tutor from my high school and that was a
very good experience as it not only made me realise how traditional cultural
influence could remain unchanged in some of those rural areas in China and also
the way parents and children interacting. I always have wondered why for many
Chinese students just like me, hundreds of them fail to choose what they really
want to student and do as a career. Chinese parents are definitely having
strange influences on their kids' decision making in terms of education and
career or in the worst cases; the parents decided what their kids should do
solely. My mother believes that I should go for Finance studies, while I clearly
know that my interest has never been in the Mathematical formulas and numbers, I
always find the diversities of societies, people, beliefs, cultures and the way
people interacting together very fascinating. So, during this summer, my
thoughts kept returning on why I worked so unsuccessfully towards studying
finance and economics as my mother expected? And how can I truly become my own
master by progressing a BA that I really like to engage more research and enrich
myself with? How did all the cultural and beliefs affecting the way we acting
the roles in the community? In which way an individual could actually build up
and refine his/her identities?
In pursuing a Sociology degree, I seek answers to these questions. A
thorough examination of the Sociology behind human behaves could reveal the
beliefs, values and identities; it enables us to exam and understand ourselves
better. While knowledge of Sociology will certainly benefit the social services
providing, I also maintain a passion for Culture Studies for that same reason.
Cultural behaviour study appeals to me because it tells us why we act in a
certain way - under a cultural atmosphere. Also for being in the -- for 3 years,
the knowledge about the outside world has given me a unique and balanced
perspective to examine the reality of Chinese society too. In this historical
epoch in which China is becoming closely integrated into the international
community and playing an influence role in the world arena, I wish to gain
insights into our society in its socio-culture aspects and to study how Chinese
culture can respond to the globalization process.
By combining these thoughts into a good BA in Sociology degree programme, I
can pursue my professional goal of doing education and community service work
for the government and perhaps focusing in promote public welfare. My experience
in the past in social practices has not only equipped me with an intellectual
foundation for my future studies but has also supplied me with my career plans.
In my eyes, China's several thousand years of history has given rise to the
deep-entrenched rule by man instead of rule by law and nature. In dealing with
such issues like economic development, poverty elimination and the promotion of
law, the framing and application of government policies seem to play a greater
role. Therefore, it is obvious that to contribute to public welfare and to
national development, it is more realistic and useful to become a well-trained
and well-qualified public administrator. In this lies the motivation of my
application for an undergraduate programme in sociology at your esteemed
department.
WanSheng High School where I was studying is a key provincial high school
that attracts best students from every part of the province. In fierce academic
competitions, I have managed to remain top-ten in my high school academic
performance and was recommended by the school to Highbury College, Portsmouth to
study my foundation course. I passed the foundation course successfully in 20__
and was an outstanding student of my class. I believe that my previous social
practices activities and academic preparations have built a solid background for
me to further my intensive and fruitful research in your BA in Sociology
studies. After gaining knowledge of both Sociology and different cultures at the
highly regarded University of Leicester, I plan to work for social services to
use my knowledge of social human behaviour to aid members of the public.

Dear _,
To me, art is like a mystery which is to be solved. I see an artwork as the
concentration of an idea or concept into a physical entity. The idea or concept
is rarely evident through just looking at piece; it requires analysis or
scrutiny to interpret it. This is why I am rarely happy with a piece of art
unless I can see some meaning behind it. Whether it is my own or another
person’s, I feel a great satisfaction when I discover an underlying theme or
message; deliberate or not. It is like poring over a cryptic riddle or a puzzle
for time until all at once it falls into place.
Perhaps it is my obsession with problem-inducing things: cryptic
crosswords, chess, Rubik’s cubes, poker, cribbage and scrabble that have induced
this vision of art. It is the same either way. If I am looking at a Mark Rothko
painting, Rothko has set the puzzle to be deciphered and I am attempting to
solve it, even if the answer is as simple as, ‘a perfect combination of colour’.
If I create an artwork, it will have hidden parameters evident only by scrutiny.
It may be easy to interpret or it may be difficult, it doesn’t matter. I don’t
mind if people don’t interpret it the way I intended; only that it makes sense
in their own minds and that it gives them that same sense of satisfaction that I
get when I solve a puzzle. You could say that that is the ultimate motivation
for the art that I produce.
This theme has also played a strong role in the work that I have been doing
over the past year in my Art Foundation course. In the last ’self’-orientated
project I focussed on my fascination with playing cards and chess combined with
the physical aspects of my life. This has developed into my current project that
concentrates on aspects of chance (chess, playing cards) combined, symbolically,
with aspects of purpose (religion, gods, fate, strategy) through many different
mediums, including customised board games and sculptures. I am intrigued with
hidden meanings, so I am looking at artists such as Joseph Beuys and Leonardo Da
Vinci who are known to use a lot of symbolism in their work.
My current work has developed from many of the foundation course projects I
have done since the beginning of the year. I feel that this year has been a
significant indication of what path I want to follow in the future. I initially
enrolled with the mindset of trying it out and deciding what to do later on in
the year. I have worked hard at keeping up with work and have enjoyed being able
to develop my own ideas creatively over the last two terms. The foundation
course has already taught me how to be broad-minded about what art can be, and
the learning process has been somewhat enlightening. Ultimately I have enjoyed
the course; whether it is experimenting with interesting ideas in my own space,
sharing ideas with my peers about what we are doing or constructing sculptures
in the workshops. Upon having wandered around the degree student’s areas a few
times just to look at the work that is being produced I feel a connection to
what they are doing and what I am currently learning about and it makes me want
to go further with my work. This is why I wish to continue on at the degree
course. I believe it will challenge me and help me to evolve the art that I do
to an even further level.
Since October 2007, I have had a Saturday job working as an assistant in a
butcher’s. This job requires me to make deliveries, clean the shop, serve
customers, prepare meat and I often help out at the hog roast functions that the
shop hires out. I have done my best to work hard at this, as it is the only
proper job I have had apart from a paper round. Alongside attending the
foundation course I feel that it has made me a much more organised and confident
person in terms of arranging my life. I have definitely enjoyed working there as
much as I have worked hard at it. To resound the work I have done I have been
offered more work at the shop and at supervising hog roasts during the
summer.
Yours sincerely,
bzuowen

The most important element of my classroom, my office, or my home is a
personal relationship. I have figured this out on examination of my activities
in high school (youth group regional president), college (telephone crisis
counselor, resident advisor), or profession (teacher). As a teacher I made a
point of getting to know every student in my classes personally. It quickly
became my experience that students were more willing to learn, work, and excel
when they were appreciated as individuals and when they knew that the adult in
the classroom genuinely liked them.
After a few years' experience teaching seniors, I accepted a teaching job at
the middle school with the freshman class that had just learned they would not
physically be moving to the high school. How would I motivate and get to know
these kids? Everything that I had ever heard about or remembered about 9th grade
made me want to turn and run. But what convinced me to take this job was
technology. In my interview I learned that instead of the library, I was to use
the Internet (the what?). I was told that I would receive a laptop computer
(aren't those the things that people with "real" jobs used?) and that the kids
could teach me anything I needed to know.
Computers became my thing. Immediately I began to learn how to surf the
Internet from 8th and 9th graders (Sanj and Judy said I was teachers' pet). My
kids opened up and set aside their raging adolescence to use technology to help
me and help each other. As the year with the freshmen continued, I was
overjoyed. First, my kids and I had the best rapport in years (gosh Miss Glazer,
are all of your PowerPoint slides gonna look the same?). Second, my creativity
in teaching increased as new doors were opened to me and in turn to my students
(conspiracy takes on a whole new meaning when the Internet is your primary
source). Third, I was learning new and exciting things. I had finally found a
combination of skills that affected my students in such a positive way that I
knew I had to share my findings.
I have since taken my computer knowledge, instructional design ideas, plus my
emphasis on personal relationships and applied it to teachers and students in my
district and other districts in the North Texas area.
Through the Learning, Design, and Technology program at Stanford University I
hope to continue on the route that started for me at the middle school. I know
that I will learn new things and have an opportunity to apply them to
educational settings. I also know that I will be able to establish relationships
with colleagues, professors, and other students. Although a master's degree is
the short term goal, I believe that my long term goal remains the same as when I
began using technology in my classroom three years ago: to see students better
educated through a curriculum infused with technology by teachers who do not
lose sight of the personal relationships that benefit all kids.
This long-term goal may be achieved by working in a single school, a school
district, or an educational center. It may be reached by teaching new teachers
on the university level, by instructing at-risk students in a county
after-school program, or by designing a terrific new classroom model and
implementing it through a regional education lab with a grant from the U.S.
Department of Education.
Whatever the job, my aim remains the same and as it did years ago with my
freshmen, I feel certain that I will use any situation to fulfill my goal to
benefit students (can you say optimistic, or is it opportunistic?)
2.本单位意见一栏须写上“同意出国申请”字样并有领导签定;
3.翻译邀请函(提供国外大学入学通知书原件及复印件B5);
4.两寸护照像(黑白彩色均可)4张,背后写明本人姓名;
5.本人身份证与户口本原件及本人身份证正反面的复印件B5,印在一张纸上;
6.大专(含大专)以上学历人员自费出国留学审核表;

Dear _,
am choosing geography for one main reason and this reason has many
subdividing links. I want to continue to study geography at higher education
because I find it interesting. I enjoy this subject because of its content and
the way in which it overlaps with so many other subjects. This therefore makes
geography a very useful subject and one I am very keen to continue to understand
and develop. Because geography overlaps with many other subjects and that the
course encompasses many techniques and skills I find it as being a very useful
tool in the future workplace. I enjoy finding out how and most importantly why.
If this includes why is such business parks situated on suburban fringes to why
does the global distribution of earthquakes effect human activates in that
particular area. I believe geography will develop my analytical skills which is
important because I want to become an intelligence officer in the armed forces.
I also like travelling and my knowledge and techniques have helped me explain
many things like reasons for terraced farming in areas of Maltaand
infrastructure in Florida. I teacher once said to me in secondary school.
‘travel, and your start to notice things around you and your be able to
understand what and why are certain things there’
I am currently studying A2 geography and biology. This is also accompanied
by AS physical education and an AS physics which I completed in my first year. I
am enjoying my courses this year because I find the content relatively easy to
digest as opposed to physics last year. I found this subject fairly challenging
last year because the content comprised itself mainly of numbers, figures,
theories and set equations which where some what difficult to interpret. As
opposed to the courses iamdoing this year where I find the content easier to
consume because I can relate it to visual situations. I enjoyed parts of the
course last year because there where noticeable links between the subjects. For
instants geography and biology cross over more than once during the year. I have
developed new skills such as my oral and working with others on coursework As I
noted above my aspirations for the future lay within the armed forces. I need to
have well developed analytical skills as well as good oral skills. Part of being
an intelligence officers is being able to annotate pictures and many other
sources of data i.e. infra red.
Studying geography will help me develop these skills to a standard well
recognised in my chosen field of profession. I’m also looking to travel in the
future and my knowledge of geography will help me understand the places I visit
in much more detail.
I have had one experience in paid employment and one work experience
placement. During my work experience I worked at H+S aviation. This is a company
that repairs helicopters and light aircraft. During my time here I experienced
the importance of meeting deadlines as these engines where urgently needed for
the customer. I also established working with a team and co operating with many
departments. One important skill I learned is attention to detail/ this was very
important because the slightest of inaccuracy could cause the aircraft engine to
malfunction causing death to the customer. During my paid employment I worked at
a café in ASDA. I learned many important lessons here like health and safety
along with food hygiene. I also exercised working in a busy environment and good
communication and team skills were necessary to achieve the goals. I feel that
many of the skills I have learnt are relevant not just to geography but life in
its self. Team skills may be put to good use in a fieldwork situation as well as
meeting deadlines and attention to detail. These all figure in some aspect of
the course and university life in general.
I enjoy sporting activities a lot and they are important in social well
being. I enjoy playing golf and especially football. I have reached semi
professional for Fareham town where I scored the winning goal on my debut at
this level, being only the third player to ever to do this. I have also had
trials with the major south coast professional sides such as Portsmouth,
Southampton and Bournemouth. I enjoy leisure activities such as fishing and
camping and I go away regularly in the summer to carry out these activities.
I also enjoy socialising with friends at the weekends but football usually
takes precedence over socialising. There are specific areas around the city
where these can be exercised together. I enjoy spending time with my family,
either going out for the evening, spending the weekend camping and fishing or
just play football or golf.
Yours sincerely,
bzuowen

Dear _,
Studying life processes in molecular terms deeply appeals to me. I was
fascinated by the importance of simple molecules, such as water molecule;
playing its role as a biological solvent, reactant molecule and temperature
regulator. Studying Biochemistry will enhance my interest in the structure and
the functions of biological molecules. I enjoy the fact that it uses the
principles and techniques of chemistry to understand basic biological process in
living things. I am interested in both the practical and theoretical study of
biochemistry, in this area of study I believe that I have the motivation,
commitment and determination to succeed.
I am looking forward to studying Biochemistry, in particular genetics,
pharmacology and neurology because I find them very fascinating and exciting. I
enjoyed studying A-level chemistry, especially the biological aspect of the
subject such as protein synthesis and neurotransmitters. Studying mathematics
and physics at A-level allowed me to think clearly and logically, providing me
with the ability to work accurately, and hence increasing my problem solving
skills.
My first schooling was in 2003. I had no formal education for the first 14
years of my life due...... Considering the disadvantages I have faced I believe
that I have made huge progress, not only in the acquisition of the English
language but also academically. This meant working harder than my contemporaries
and I was fully prepared to do that, by working independently and teaching
myself. In my gap year I want to develop myself in order to build up my
self-esteem and gain self-confidence. I want to focus on the skills I wish to
develop in order to contribute to a more sustainable future.
I find volunteering at Cancer Research very rewarding; allowing me to use
my personal qualities to help the community and to contribute to the world and
its worthy causes. It also gives me the opportunity to learn new skills and gain
much needed experience, hence increasing my confidence. It is hugely fulfilling
as I'm doing it out of passion and interest. I undertook a 5 week work
experience at _____ Hospital; spending my time at different departments,
including pathology, hematology, and imaging. My duties included taking
measurements, carrying out Statistical analysis using my Mathematical skills and
observing the staffs performing their duties. The hematology and nuclear imaging
departments were very exciting as it involves diagnosing any disease through
different methods. I can also link this to my career as they both are applied to
the needs of the community by way of diagnosis of disease and use this to
provide the building blocks necessary to develop solutions to their health.
Combining this experience with the knowledge I have gained helped me to
appreciate and understand not only what biochemistry is about, but also the
reasons I am doing it for.
I enjoy craft work, including sewing and knitting, which increases my
ability to be more creative and I'm willing to extend it to a more advanced
level in my gap year. I have also enrolled in Arabic classes as my ambitions
include becoming multi-lingual and broadening my horizons and interests.
I am certain that biochemistry is the right course for me because not only
will it fulfill my interest in science, but also help me achieve my long term
goal of becoming a Biochemist. I am looking forward to extending my knowledge
and developing my analytical and research skills in order to reach my full
potential.
Yours sincerely,

Dear _,
Since I was young I have always had a keen interest in the way that the
things around me work. From marvelling at the telephone to how planes can fly,
engineering advances have never failed to captivate me. For this reason, I have
always tried to find out how such things function, and about how they have had
an impact on the society we live in today. Coupled with the fact that I have
always enjoyed the logical and problem-solving processes involved in maths and
physics, I decided several years ago to embark on a career in engineering.
Since then, I have endeavoured to find out as much about engineering as
possible. I researched the great engineers such as Brunel, and discovered the
great works they had completed. I have attended several engineering conferences,
the most recent of which I was selected to speak live on radio about my
experiences. And once I had completed several weeks' worth of work experience, I
was assured that it was the career that I wanted to pursue.
This summer, I took part in the Nuffield Bursary scheme for a month,
working in a team, at Aerogistics Ltd. Our project was to analyse and implement
a new system for the distribution of consumable materials to the individual
departments within the company. We found the current system to be highly
inefficient and after much data gathering and thought, presented our findings to
the senior managers of the company who agreed with our ideas. The last week was
spent starting the implementation of these ideas. I found the experience to be
highly challenging, yet rewarding especially as it led to me gaining a Gold
Crest Award. I also found it useful as I got to see engineers at work and the
daily problems that they face. I learnt that there is a lot more to being a good
engineer than possessing technical competence, although this is undoubtedly
important; team work, communication and leadership skills are vital as well.
I have also recently been selected to complete two placements with army
engineers. One of these placements will focus on the more practical side of
engineering while the other will focus on the skills needed by a professional
engineer focussing on project planning and leadership. I hope to find the
experience useful.
In my spare time I like to play sport and music. In secondary school I was
captain for the Netball and Football teams, as well as taking part in various
other sports. The experience of this greatly improved my team working abilities
as well as my fitness. As a keen musician I am working towards my grade 5 theory
and grade 7 practical on cello. I am a member of a Youth Orchestra, and have
just recently completed a tour of Italy. I am also in the school orchestra and
have led several orchestras in the past, before progressing to the LYO.
In school, I am Deputy Head Girl, helping to lead a team of over 40
prefects. I find this to be a challenging and stimulating role and believe it
has developed my confidence immensely. As well as carrying out the normal duties
of a prefect, such as supervising younger students, I must lead and manage the
other prefects. My role involves arranging rotas, organising after school events
such as the Year 7 social and parent's evenings and public speaking as well as
other responsibilities, which have developed my communication, organisation and
leadership skills immensely. The role requires a lot of commitment, but it has
helped to improve my time management, as I try to strike a balance between it
and school work, which is my main priority. I have also been selected to compete
in the Physics Olympiad and have been entered for the Biology Advanced
Extension.
During my time at university I hope to gain a good degree, which will stand
me in good stead for when I enter the world of work. I would like to continue my
education in a place where I can thrive both academically and socially, and
where I can put my determination and motivation into good use. Thank you.
Yours sincerely,
bzuowen

Dear _,
"One can never consent to creep when one feels an impulse to soar" I must
say that I am genuinely grateful to Helen Keller for articulating what I have
long cherished in the innermost recesses of my mind. At the same time I also
congratulate myself on having chosen flying as my one-time career, for it has
imparted to me both the impulse and the desire to soar in my life.
Ten years ago when I was an undergraduate from the Department of Mechanical
Engineering of Tsinghua University, or even 5 years ago when I just entered the
China Civil Aviation Flight University, I had the stubborn notion that, for the
rest of my life, I would stay on the ground working either as a mechanist
engaged in mechanical designing and the technical improvement of materials. It
never dawned on me that I would transcend all the matter-of-course outcomes
resulting from my five-year undergraduate studies to become a pilot of
international flights, for at that time the idea had never occurred to me that a
person could fly so freely in the infinite universe of his life.
In 1990, I sailed through the highly competitive National University
Entrance Examination to become an undergraduate in Tsinghua University. Out of
my instinctive interest, I chose to study in the Department of Mechanical
Engineering. My 5-year solid studies at this most prestigious university in
China allowed me to establish a profound theoretical groundwork in mechanical
engineering and to develop an in-depth understanding of mechanical dynamics and
its operation principle. During my graduation internship, I discovered that,
because of the airborne sand, the cylinder piston ring of the desert vehicle
which did not receive alloy surface treatment frequently incur friction damage
and breaking. This not only created great hindrance to the normal operation of
desert vehicles but also seriously jeopardized the life and security of
personnel doing field work in the desert. Driven by my sense of responsibility,
I chose The Surface Alloy Treatment of the Cylinder Piston Ring of Desert
Vehicles by Laser, a highly difficult technical subject which constituted part
of a research program of the National 9th Five-Year Plan, as the topic of my
graduation design. I was responsible for organizing a research team to conduct
designing, processing and analyzing involved in the investigation. In order to
arrive at the perfect ratio of different substances to be contained in the
alloy, I undertook innumerable experiments which were coupled with innumerable
failures. Sometimes I would stay in the laboratory for days without knowing the
lapse of time. During this difficult but equally exciting period, it was
Edison's motto Success Means Standing up Once More After Failure that sustained
me. With due efforts, we concluded the research satisfactorily, not only scoring
significant technological breakthroughs but also yielding impressive practical
profitability.
After graduating as an undergraduate from Tsinghua University in 1995, at
the strong recommendation of the University, I took part in a screening test
administered by Air China for the recruitment of civil aviation pilots. With my
impressive personal performance, I distinguished myself from the a total of
20,000 participants as a qualified candidate and entered China Civil Aviation
Flight University in Sichun Province where I studied aviation theories and
techniques, aerodynamics, meteorology and other relevant knowledge. In the first
year of my studies at this university, I received the honor of Model Student. On
account of my prominent performance in my studies and flying practice, together
with my strong adaptability, especially with my impressive organizational and
communicational capacity, I was dispatched by Air China in July 1997 to the
Flight Safety Academy located in Florida of the United States to undergo a
one-year specialized training in order to develop myself into an outstanding
pilot on international flights.
During my studies at Flight Safety Academy, I was confronted with even
greater challenges. I made utmost efforts to perfect my English aptitude within
the shortest possible time. I continued to study advanced courses in flight
principles, aerodynamics, federal regulations and a series of subjects directly
or indirectly related to flying. At the same time, I was subjected to the most
rigorous flight training. I did not shrink from any of those challenges.
Instead, I surmounted them one by one, supported by the powerful spirit of
perseverance and confidence cultivated in me in my early childhood. At the end
of this one-year training, I received the Certificate for Flying Commercial
Multi-Engineer Aircrafts issued by the Federal Aviation Administration of the
United States. Hard as it was, the one-year experience in the United States not
only enabled me to acquire the necessary qualifications as a pilot of
international flights, but also helped me to develop some initial understanding
of the American society. In July 1998, I returned to Air China and formally
became its qualified pilot on international flights.
As a pilot, one must be in possession of a strong sense of responsibility
and the spirit of teamwork. This requires that a pilot must be meticulous in
every detail, able to deal with emergencies, and effective in interpersonal
communication. Before each routine flight, I would make detailed flight plans,
conduct careful analysis of the conditions of the airfields that we would land
on, familiarize myself with the air routes and the weather conditions. I pay
special attention to enhance my ability in analyzing and handling emergency
situations. On those occasions when the flight is delayed due to irresistible
factors, my patient explanations to the passengers tend to make them satisfied
and their excited emotions would naturally calm down, facilitating the smooth
settlement of the problems. In recognition of my prominent achievements, my
company conferred on me the Model Pilot Award. All those gradually cultivated
qualities serve as my strong assets for commencing new stages of my career.
Over the past four years, I have traveled to virtually all the major
countries of the world and I have accumulated a 3000-hour record of safe flight.
After arriving at each destination, I can enjoy a brief vacation of 3 to 4 days
in the local city. I would invariably take advantage of such occasions to make
extensive visits to the local society, coming into close contacts with local
traditions and customs. Those experiences have not only significantly broadened
my cultural perspective and enriched my mind, but also developed my ability to
accommodate myself to different cultural backgrounds. Exposure to new ideas, a
cosmopolitan awareness, and increased receptivity are the greatest benefits that
I have been able to derive from those experiences.
My pleasant work experiences make me increasingly interested in my career
as a pilot. But at the same time I have also come to develop a strong concern
for the existing condition of China's civil aviation industry. Because of its
lack of fund and backward technology, plus its belated development, China's
civil aviation industry currently lags far behind the developed countries,
particularly in the field of aerospace engineering. Once again, motivated by my
sense of responsibility to help develop China's civil aviation industry, I am
determined to relinquish my present career and apply to study Aerospace
Engineering at your distinguished university, to embark on a new stage of life.
Technically, I have established a solid foundation for apply for an advanced
degree program in aerospace engineering because of my undergraduate training in
mechanical engineering. My actual experience as a pilot further contributes to
my readiness to combine theoretical knowledge with practical expertise. The most
essential point is that, psychologically, my extraordinary sense of
responsibility for the safety of passengers has cultivated in me the spirit for
pursuing perfection. Such an awareness and spirit will undoubtedly ensure the
maximum success in my prospective degree program as in my heretofore career as a
pilot.
Admittedly, to relinquish my present career means to give up many
advantages: a relatively high salary, a comfortable life, and a respected social
status. But I should say that flying constitutes for me not only a form of
career and a form of working experience. It has also ignited my passion for the
future, for it enabled me to understand the true significance of horizon, that,
as a matter of fact, the horizon of life is akin to the horizon of the sky in
which I fly in that they both promises infinite possibilities. It made me
further realize that an individual's universe is as infinite as his heart is
ambitious. In order to pursue a more exciting future of personal development, it
is often necessary to transcend the mere past. The present decision that I make
is by no means a form of relinquishment, but a form of pursuit, seeking to
transcend the status quo and to strive for excellence, to fly to even higher
destinies.
I could never understand why "To be or not to be / That is the question"
can become such a celebrated soliloquy and why the protagonist Hamlet, the
prince of hesitation and indecision, could become such a worshipped hero. For
me, who is well equipped with all my previous qualifications and at the same
time confident about the future, I would say : To Soar or to Creep / That is no
Question!
Yours sincerely,
bzuowen
