Nowadays, as more and more students have chosen to study abroad, some

people believe that overseas degree is no longer as valuable as before. What’s

more, according to the report, when these students returned and found a job, the

salary was not that expecting. But overseas degree can’t be denied by the

salary.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Honorable Judges, Good afternoon.

I come from one of the most lovely and attractive areas of China, the Pearl River Delta of Guangdong Province and I'd love to say a few words about this area that is so dear to my heart.

Guangdong Province is a magically beautiful wonderland, with endless natural treasures. The lush and green mountains are inhabited by songbirds and exotic animals; the farm land is fertile and productive, providing all of its people with wonderfully nutritious grains and all the fruits they need to be healthy and strong. The Pearl River meanders through the province and eventually comes to our beautiful seashore with crystal clear blue water, flourishing with all kinds of different fish and sea creatures. All these natural advantages help to boost the ever-expanding economy of Guangdong and increase the welfare of its people.

Guangdong is privileged to have such a beautiful landscape, with hundreds of historical sites and places of great interest to local people and foreigners alike. Our capital city, Guangzhou, is also known as "the city of flowers". Everywhere you look you will see flourishing plants and blossoming flowers overflowing with vigor.

The people of Guagdong are very friendly to visitors from anywhere. Whoever you are and wherever you come from, Guangdong people will greet you with the only language---Guangdong dialect.

Guangdong is also known as the Chinese capital of delicious food. There is an old saying that "The only best delicacies are in Guangdong.” Food from this province is internationally famous. Its variety of tastes, shapes and colors can satisfy even the most refined palette. I'm sure, the moment you seat yourself at a Cantonese banquet, your appetite will naturally become keen and eager to taste all the numerous delicacies of the region. Here are but a few I will mention in passing: steamed fish in ginger sauce, seasoned chicken, drunken shrimp, dance fish balls, fried jellyfish, roast suckling pig or duck, braised crispy chicken or squab, shark fin soup, moon cakes, refreshments and desert, and so many more. My mouth is watering just at the sound of these wonderful dishes.

I would like you all to know that there is truly nowhere in the world I would rather live and I invite you all to come discover the hidden treasures of my hometown. I would be glad to serve as your personal guide.

everyone!Now I want to talk about a beatiful world!

When I was young,I always dreamed that I lived in a beautiful country. There were many flowers and trees around our city.We counld hear the birds singing and see the children dancing. The streets were clear and the the air was very fresh! How nice it was!But that only was a dream of mine!How I wish that it would be come true! So I think we should do something to protect our environment. Everyone should make a contribution to protect the environment.

Taking care of our environment is very important.Wherever you live,you can do something around your neighbourhood.

Have you ever thrown any litter onto the ground?Have you ever drawn pictures on public walls?Have you ever spat in a public place?Have you ever cut down trees?If your answers are "No",it means that you have already helped protect our environment.

It is our duty to keep our envionment clean and tidy. You might ask yourself,"Have I ever picked up some rubbish and thrown it into a dustbin?Have I ever collected waste paper or bottles for recycling?Have I ever planted any trees or flowers in or near my neighbourhood?"If your answers are"Yes",it means that you have already done something useful to improve the environment.

Now I want to say :Let`s do our best to make our world more beautiful!

THE first time I saw Bao was in 20__, the year when Thomas and Uber Cup was held. At that time he was playing against Li zongwei, who is also a good player from Malaysia. Bao beat him. To tell the truth, at first the reason why I liked him was just because I thought he was pretty._(maybe it is not a suitable word, but I think no better word can describe him, he is really pretty!) From that time, I have focused on him. Then gradually, I found that he not only has good appearance, but also has a talent for badminton.

He is very tall, about 1.90 meters. He is the tallest one among all the players in the Chinese Badminton Team. In 20__, he is chosen as the flag holder stands for China in the opening ceremony in the 15th Asian Games held in Doha. It was the first time that the badminton players were chosen to take over the special task, before which time, it belonged to the basketball players. It was a great honor. And it also proved that Bao was an excellent athlete. We are all proud of him.

He began to play badminton when he was at primary school. In 20__, he won his first good medal, which was significant to him, in Guangzhou. Because of that, he entered the Chinese Badminton Team. As he is as old as Lin dan, who is the top one in the world, he is always put into a situation which is not good to him. He seldom beats Lin dan, so he gained a name which is called’千年老二’. In fact, his techniques are comprehensive, but he is lack of passion, the desire to win is not so strong. So he always has misplays. Due to this, he seldom wins the gold medal. I think this is related to his character. He is easygoing and couth; he looks as if he will never get angry with anybody. So this affects him while he is playing badminton. In a period of time, critical voice has come towards him. He is under great pressure. He was not in the best state. But recently he cheers up again. Several days ago, the Chinese Badminton Championship 20__ was held in Guangzhou. I went to see him on Saturday. I was very excited, and I shouted loudly, hoping he could hear me. There is no doubt that he won the game. Before he went away, he waved hand to us, how excited I was at that time! The next day, he beat Li zongwei again and he won the man’s single gold medal. All of us are very happy. After 7 years, which could be a long time for an athlete, he proved himself again in Guangzhou, which is considered as his lucky place.

I think this will be the energy of his advancing. And I hope he can keep this fighting will and win the gold medal in the 29th Olympic Games held in Beijing!

Weibo has been the main social software for Chinese people. They get used

to using it to follow the instant news all the time. But as there is no law to

supervise this software, many people hide their information and attack others by

In Korea, many years ago, a famous female star committed suicide, which

shocked the public. The government announced that it was the cyber-violence that

led to this tragedy. The female star was annoyed by the rumor that was spread in

the network, then a lot of people believed the rumor and criticized her, because

of the great pressure, she chose to end her life to get away of this mess.

This tragedy made people start to think about the cyber-violence, the one

who spreads the rumor should be responsible for his duty. The real-name system

can prevent the language violence effectively, because with the public’s

supervision, no one dare to spread the fake information to attack others. We

need to create a harmonious environment.

Good morning India!

Today on 15th August 2013 India is celebrating its 67th Independence Day, and we Indians are proud to say we have owned our freedom 67 years old back. As we gather here today I take the opportunity to congratulate every student and teacher of this School/college a Happy Independence Day! I also take the opportunity of welcoming you our chief guest for today!

We have assembled here to celebrate our 67th Independence Day. As a citizen of India, I am so proud to talk to you about my mother India. On the night of August 14, 1947, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru rose to make a maiden speech in New Delhi, “When the world sleeps, India will wake to life and freedom.” Yes, India became free from the bondage of British rule. Now, India is the largest democratic country in the world. The country’s strength is to find, “Unity in diversity”. But, there are stray incidents that test her secularism but the people of India are ready to sacrifice anything for the cause of unity. Today we remember the great leaders who gave their lives for the nation’s freedom and prosperity. Dr. B.R.Ambedkar gave the longest written constitution to us. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru worked for an industrialized India. Gandhi Ji taught us Ahimsa and Non-violence. Subash Chandra Bose inducted courage in us. Swami Vivekanand gave us spiritual power. Yes, with these contributions; India will be the super power in the coming years. Our former President Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam called the children of India to dream to build a strong Nation with aim and perseverance. Indeed! This is not a word of a single man. It is word of one billionsouls.

Nowadays, with the development of education, increasing the number of University students. They would become the backbone of society, so that their employment will affect the future of themselves, their families and society. Then, the employment situation of college students about what?

In fact, college students "job challenge" has become a hot topic. Due to the effects of the economic crisis, in 2009, the graduate employment rate of 86%, in 2010, it rose to 89.6%, 2011 90.8%, 2012 is 91.5%, but in 2013, it dropped again to 86%. I think there are three main reasons: first of all, in terms of students, many college students personal knowledge or practice of incompetence, lack of job skills, is the lack of psychological preparation for interview. And some of the college students ' employment concept is not correct, expectations were too high. Most important is that they lack social experience.

Secondly, in the schools, some university courses set unreasonable, unable to adapt to society's demand for talents and graduates ' employment guidance and services will also need to improve.

Furthermore, social aspects, social employment information system is not perfect, some examination of the enterprise or institution exists injustice, discrimination in employment, such as gender discrimination, account of discrimination still exists.

Facing unemployment problem, as college students, we should have its own future career planning. For me, I'm calm, patience and hard work. I like reading and writing, and I'm majoring in Chinese language and literature, so I have a wealth of expertise. I am a school newspaper, a journalist, so I had interviews, and editing experience. I hope that the future will be an edit. In this dream, I will study the first two years at the University, how to interview and writing and contribution. After two years at the University, I would get in practice, accumulate work experience, multiple predecessors for advice.

I believe that if I’m hard-working enough, I can achieve my dream in the fierce competition for jobs.

当今社会 ，随着教育的发展，大学生的数量不断增加。他们会成为社会的中坚力量，因此他们的就业会影响他们自己、家庭和社会的将来。那么，大学生的就业现状到底是怎样的呢?

事实上，大学生的“就业难题“已经成为一个热门话题。由于经济危机的影响，2009年，大学生就业率为86%，2010年，它上升为89.6%,2011年为90.8%,2012年为91.5%，但2013年，它又降到了86%。近几年，大学生就业率的波动较大，但总体的趋势还是缓慢上升的。据中国社科院的统计，2013年底将有10万学生无法就业，592万学生面临就业难题。因此，大学生的就业状况还是很严峻的。

那么，什么造成了大学生的就业难题呢?我想主要有三方面的原因：首先，在学生方面，许多大学生个人知识或实践能力不足，缺少求职技巧，对面试是缺乏心理准备。而且一些大学生择业观不正确，期望值过高。最重要的是，他们缺乏社会经验。

其次，在学校方面，一些大学的课程设置不合理，无法适应社会对人才的需求;同时，毕业生的就业指导以及服务工作也需要完善。

再者，在社会方面，社会就业信息体制不完善，一些企业或事业单位的考试存在不公平现象，就业歧视，比如性别歧视、户口歧视依然存在。

面对就业难题，身为大学生的我们应有自己的未来职业规划。对我来说，我文静、耐心并且刻苦。我喜欢读书与写作，而且我主修汉语言文学，因此我有丰富的专业知识。我是校报的一名记者，因此我有着采访以及编辑经验。我希望未来能做一名编辑。为了这个梦想，在大学的前两年我会努力学习，多去采访与写作，积极投稿。大学后两年，我会去参加出版社的实习，积累工作经验，多向前辈请教。

我相信，经过我的努力，我可以在激烈的就业竞争中获得胜利。

My College

The college life is wonderful. All life in school are fresh. New teachers, new CLASSmates and fresh friends are around me。 The grand library, school buildings and wide playground are very attracting to me. I am very eager to learn much knowledge quickly. In high school, I was ever called as a runner before time. Now,I know I am behind time so much in fact. I hope to catch up with the time by my hard studying. When I entered the CLASSroom at first time, I was headache as I couldn’t understand what the professor was speaking. I met much difficulties at math, physics and other courses, even though I used to be good at these sciences. Therefore, I learn these courses myself after CLASS. After three months, the exmination indicated that I overcame all the difficlties. I study English hard as well. It makes me have many chances to communicate with foreigners. I made friends with many foreign teachers and students. From them, I learn many knowledge about foreign culture.

Besides study, my college life is also very colorful. I’d like to take any chance to improve my communication skill. Last year, I organized a speech match in management department. All the CLASSmates were very interested in this kind of activity. I learned from them much about their hometown, their knowledge and opinions.

My college life is long and short. I believe that I can spend a good time in the four years. I hope I will have no any regretion when I look back the short youth of college in the future.

My University

I am a sophmore of Nanchang University.Now i want to introduce to you guys about my university.It has a long history back to the fifties of last century.As it locate far away from the city center ,the most prosperous place,you may think the traffic is totally unconvenient,then you are wrong,instead of unconvenient ,there are a lot of transportation tools that will take you to where you want to go at any time.when it going to say about facilities and faculites,i will say they are excellent and helpful.I cherish friendship and like to make as many friends as i can and i found out that the students there are have a heart of gold ,and are hospital.So,that's my university,it is not the best one but i still love it .I can foresee that i will enjoiy my life on campus from now.

life is really different from what I have experienced in high school.For instance,I used to lean upon my dormitory teacher to wake me up on time.But now I have to set several alarm clocks to make myself could hear them in the morning.otherwise，I would miss my class.

And then even worse there would be nobody remind me except my teacher!So the differences are everywhere and I could easily find them.

The change of life is great and it's wonderful:I have more time of my own and the rights to decide how I live.

My campus activities are rich and colorful.Learning English has become a habit to me cause I plan to study abroad in next few years.Playing Guzheng is my favorite activity.I have kept on practising it since I was a little girl and I wish to win more competitions in my campus life.

Our university has the first level equipments and the most experienced teachers,also has the best students(laugh).I consider it to be a honor that I've got a chance to study here and I sincerely hope that we could live wonderful lives in our campus!

I’m very honored to stand here and give you a short speech! To begin with ,I want to ask a question .Does everybody dream a good dream last night? Actually ,today I want to talk about dream with you. Of course, What I want to talk is not a dream you have last night,but a dream—— about life.

Everyone has dreams about life, different dreams at different life stage,and we need dreams to support us. Dreams are like the stars we never reach in the sky,but like most mariners,we can chart our course by them. With the dream,we have a direction,with a direction, we were no longer confused.With the dream, there is hope,With hope, we have the strength to fight.

I have a dream: To be a doctor.，because doctor may relieve the pain of patients. May let the human change the health. At the same time, I believed that, those who help others may be able to obtain joyfully. Therefore, I hoped in the near future ,I might be a doctor.

But I know，life is tough,and there are always ups and downs, maybe we fail in the way to our aims,and we may feel depressed ,whenever at this time, the dream in our heart can always comfort us, encourage us ,and support us to move ahead .

Young!Fortunately, I am young now. Just due to it, I know that nothing is impossible.I firmly believe that nothing can stand in my way. If I can't realize my dream,it result from that I haven't work harder enough and I won't find other excuses. If no people believe you, you can make it to prove that you are right. If you think the god haven't blessed you and there is no truth here, you can become the god and create the truth.

"My breath swallows the sky and make the yellow river overflow, my sword is famous in Kyushu and it can collapse the five sacred mountains." At some time in the past I also had am bitious words and I had some achievements. Each achievement results from my hard work. I always believe that "If you want to have more achievements than others, you must work harder." In some extent, the dream is the hope. If you can insist on doing something, the victory will come.

Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly. Hold fast to dreams, for when dreams go, life is a barren field frozen with snow. So my dear friends, think of your old and maybe dead dreams. Whatever it is, pick it up and make it alive from today. Let's--- move ----out!

One Student Is Just Like a Flower

My dear Mr. and Misses, my fellows schoolmates,

Good morning! As you know and see, it is a sunny bump harvest season. In the city, in our school campus, everywhere is surrounded with roses which we together planted 4 years ago. Today may these roses and our friendship as well be together and comfort our excited hearts!

It was four years ago that everyone of us came from every part of China and formed a new collective. As we are young, it’s very easy for us to communicate. It was in the past four years that we were ambitious. It was in the past four years that we worried. It was in the past four years that we were content. It was in the past four years that we were vexed. It was in the past four years that we were friendly and lonely ... and it was in the past fours that we studied, lived and respected each other with genuine and with our ambitions. Nothing in the world is more significant than we miss all of these.

We miss you─teachers who are tireless in teaching; we will keep your gestures and your white hairs in our hearts deeply; we will miss the quietness with the lights at night in the classroom; we will miss the race and exercise on the playground; we will miss even the crowds in the dining hall and the quarrel on the beds; we will still miss every green piece and every piece of waste paper flying like flakes in the air ... However, today we will leave nothing but the first rose with our Alma Mater and our teachers which is entrusted with our love and respect.

4 years seems very long but 4 years seems very short. From now on, we all will go into the society. The society is broad and wide for us. We will shoulder heavy responsibilities; we will work diligently; and we will expect to be informed of good news from one another. Now, I beg you all to cherish the occasion; to remember the names, the status, appearance and the character of the person around you. Now let’s be hand in hand together; let’s present the rose to each other. May the rose carry our appreciation and blessing! We are very closely linked no matter what the world may be. May the fresh rose in our hands keep its fragrants!

I’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech. Today my topic is “youth”. I hope you will like it, and found the importance in your youth so that more cherish it.

First I want to ask you some questions:

1、Do you know what is youth? 2、How do you master your youth?

Youth

Youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind; it is not rosy cheeks , red lips and supple knees, it is a matter of the emotions : it is the freshness ; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life .

Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite, for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20 . Nobody grows old merely by a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals.

Years wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. Worry, fear, self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust.

Whether 60 of 16, there is in every human being ‘s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what’s next and the joy of the game of living . In the center of your heart and my heart there’s a wireless station: so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young .

When the aerials are down, and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old ,even at 20 , but as long as your aerials are up ,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you may die young at 80.

岁月只能使皮肤起皱。而一旦丧失生活的激情，则连灵魂枯老，使人生枯如死水，毫无活力。 60岁长者也好，16岁少年也罢，每个人的内心深处都渴望奇迹，都如孩子一般眨着期待的双眼，期待着下一次，期待着生活的情趣，你我灵魂深处都有一座无线电中转站------只有你我年轻，则总能听到希望的呼唤，总能发出喜悦的欢呼，总能传达勇气的讯号，总能表现出青春的活力„„„

i am chinese。 i am proud of being a chinese with five thousand years of

civilization behind。 i’ve learned about the four great inventions made by our

forefathers。 i’ve learned about the great wall and the yangtze river。 i’ve

learned about zhang heng and i’ve learned about zheng he。who says the yellow

river civilization has vanished?i know that my ancestors have made miracles on

this fertile land and we’re still making miracles。 who can ignore the fact that

we have established ourselves as a great state in the world， that we have

devised our own nuclear weapons， that we have successfully sent our satellites

into space， and that our gnp ranks no。 7 in the world? we have experienced the

plunders by other nations， and we have experienced the war。 yet， based on such

ruins， there still stands our nation----china， unyielding and unconquerable!

i once came across an american tourist。 she said， “china has a history of

five thousand years， but the us only has a history of 200 years。 five thousand

years ago， china took the lead in the world， and now it is the us that is

leading。” my heart was deeply touched by these words。 it is true that we’re

still a developing nation， but it doesn’t mean that we can despise ourselves。 we

have such a long-standing history， we have such abundant resources， we have such

intelligent and diligent people， and we have enough to be proud of。 we have

reasons to say proudly： we are sure to take the lead in the world in the future

again， for our problems are big， but our ambition is even bigger， our challenges

are great， but our will is even greater。

i am chinese。 i have inherited black hair and black eyes。 i have inherited

the virtues of my ancestors。 i have also taken over responsibility。 i am sure，

that wherever i go， whatever i do， i shall never forget that i am chinese!
