Good morning everyone：

It's a great honor for me to stand here to deliver a speech to you. Then

today I want to talk something about dreams and reality.

As the famous Russian litterateur Lev Tolstoy (列夫、托尔斯泰)said， “Ideal is the

beacon(烟火、灯塔). Without ideal， there is no secure (无虑的， 安全的， 安心的， 可靠的，

保险的)direction; without a direction， there is no life.” So there’s no doubt that

everyone needs his or her own ideal. Have you ever thought that what is

dreams? Maybe， to somebody， reality has little relation to ideal. To others

nothing can be done without the sense of reality. So make our dreams a part of

bringing them together.

As a university student， establishing a dream is one of the most important

things we have to do everyone must see the reality clearly at first. Your family

condition， your personal ability， your social intercourse (交往、交流)， your subject

and the job you want to do， these things show you the reality and lead you to

establish a dream.

Further more， difficult or otherwise， we should put the power of reality

into our dreams. Last but not least remember to work hard at the task of chasing

to the nature， overpopulation is a big problem. more people， more pollution. and the big population is threatening the nature every second.

the rapid rise in world population is not creating problems only for the developing countries. the whole world faces the problem that raw materials are being used up at an increasing rate and food production can not keep up with the population increase. people in rich countries make the heaviest demands on the worlds resources， its food， fuel and land， and cause the most pollution. a baby born in the united states will use in his lifetime 30 times more of the worlds resources than a baby born in india. unless all the countries of the world take united action to deal with the population explosion there will be more and more people fighting for a share of less and less land， food and fuel， and the future will bring poverty， misery and war to us all.

for most of the developing countries， it is a good idea to control the population growth. for example， china has carried out birth control for years. and this plan has a GREat effect on the world population.

if the population continues to increase， if the air and water continue to be polluted， if we dont do something to protect wild-plant and wildlife species will be declining. species and biological communities have difficulty adapting to change. economic opportunities and the quality of life of future generations are also put at risk. by protecting nature， we protect ourselves.

Before the speech, I would like to share a famous experiment with you. Two big mice were put into one vessel which was filled with water. They began to struggle when they were aware of danger. But finally their lives just lasted 8 minutes. After that, another two joined the same experiment but this time a springboard was given to help them get out of water. Five days later, the two experienced big mice were put into the same experiment. A miracle came into being. Can you guess it? Without the spring board, they survived 24 minutes, three times as many as the first time.

One patient was told that her disease was becoming more and more serious. So she lost heart to live. But after a very long time, she found the last leaf was still green and fresh in the tree and she was also alive. Afterwards, she was told that the last leaf was just painted by a skilled painter on the window which was a gloss. At that time, she exceedingly regreted her foregone view.

Nowadays, with the development of education, increasing the number of University students. They would become the backbone of society, so that their employment will affect the future of themselves, their families and society. Then, the employment situation of college students about what?

I woke up and looked at my watch. Oh my god, it’s 7:30 already! I have to get up at once otherwise I’ll be late. Today I’ll take the Australian athletes as a tour guide around Beijing, and I’m going to be the interpreter at the Beijing Olympic Games opening ceremony tomorrow. Now, it’s time for lunch. We plan to have What? You say ”Beijing Duck”? Yeah, right you are! We’ll come back to the center of Beijing, and we’ll have dinner at “Quanjude” restaurant. You can enjoy the most delicious Chinese food—Beijing Duck, and you must be very pleased to hear this! Then I’ll show you around the Summer Palace. It’s the royal garden for the emperors and empresses of the Qing Dynasty to pass the hot summers.

After visiting those historical places, you’ll surely be impressed by the long-lasting history of our great country. At the same time, during the journey of moving from one place of interest to another, we won’t miss having a glance of Beijing’s modern civilization. The skyscrapers, beautiful avenues and advanced facilities must also catch your eyes. And we’ll also have a chance to experience Beijing’s fast development in person. We’ll do some shopping at the shopping center near the Olympics Village. You can buy everything there of course except guns and drugs which are seriously forbidden in China. To see is to believe. Today, I’m very proud to be here to give a speech about a dream, a dream for which we worked together for nine years or even more. As Beijing becomes the host city of the 29th Olympic Games, every Beijinger cares for the environment and good manners and behaviors much more than before. Now Beijing has already made herselves’ dream come true. So I must work harder to catch up with her steps. Knowing the hardness of making a dream into reality, I need to do my best at every side of my work, so then I believe my little dream—to be an interpreter—will definitely be realized someday in the future!

When Henry ford decided to produce his famous v-8 motor, he chose to build

an engine with the entire eight cylinders cast in one block, and instructed his

engineers to produce a design in one for the engine. The design was placed on

paper, but the engineers agreed, to a man, that it was simply impossible to cast

an eight-cylinder engine-block in one piece.

Ford said, “Produce it anyway.”

“But,” they replied, “It’s impossible!”

were to remain on the ford staff. Six months passed and nothing happened.

Another six months passed, and still nothing happened. The engineers tried every

question:“impossible!”

At the end of the year ford checked with his engineers, and again they

informed him they had found no way to carry out his orders.

“go right head,” said ford, “I want it, and I’ll have it.”

They went ahead, and then, as if by a stroke of magic, the secret was

discovered.

This story may not be described with minute accuracy, but the sum and

low-carbon lifestyle covers many aspect of our life like transportation, traveling, home-heating, and so on. in order to promote a low-carbon life, some plans must be carried out as follows. firstly, don’t waste any electricity and water. remember to turn off the lights and water taps unless we use them. secondly, we had better take the subways or bus to work, so as to reduce the emissions of carbon dioxide. thirdly, we should use cloth bags for shopping instead of plastic bags, and use recyclable bowls and chopsticks instead of disposable ones, for it can not only save resources, but also reduce pollution. what’s more, it is of great significance to plant more trees, since trees can balance the carbon dioxide emissions.

good at or even can’t work the computer. so when i sitting at the computer

desk,he will say something like ‘you should pay more attention to your study’,

‘don’t waste time on the computer games’ , ‘it will be bad for your eyes’ and so

on. how can i- a computer fan – reduce time on computer? so i continue studying

and playing on it

Years pasted, my father is over 45 now. it is time for me to look after him

and i am sure i will do and we will live an even better life. and i will say,i

really love you dad,cause you are the hero in my mind.

大家好!今天我讲话的题目是：防灾减灾从我做起，2008年5月12日，四川汶川发生了8级特大地震，共造成7万人死亡，37万人受伤，5千多名学生在地震中遇难，为了纪念这个日子，国务院决定从2009年起每年的5月12日确定为“防灾减灾日”。5月10日至16日为防灾减灾宣传周。

我们的身边不可避免的存在着各种各样的灾害隐患，如台风、暴雨、火灾、地震、雷电、交通事故等等，因此，对我们全体师生而言，提高“防灾减灾”意识显得至关重要。灾害确实可怕，但比灾害更可怕的是无知，我们相信只要认真学习“防灾减灾”的基本常识，提高逃生的自救互救能力，我们完全可以把灾害的损害降低到最低，甚至完全可以避免灾害的发生。这就要求我们做到：

一、通过课堂学习、知识讲座、上网学习、收看电视广播等多种渠道、多种形式学习安全常识，了解灾害的起源以及怎样自救。例如地震了怎么办?首先千万要冷静，要在老师的指挥下迅速抱头、闭眼，躲在各自的课桌下，绝不能乱跑或跳楼，待地震过后再有序地撤离。

二、认真参加学校安排的应急演练活动。汶川大地震中，北川中学2900生中伤亡1600多人，而桑枣中学的师生，在1分36秒内全部从教室安全撤离到操场，2200多个学生，没有一个伤亡。

三、安全是回家最近的路。我们要遵守交通秩序，不爬护栏，不闯红灯，路上不追逐打闹，不坐三无车辆。上下楼梯靠右行，讲究秩序，轻声慢步，防止踩踏事件的发生;不在教室、走廊追逐打闹、大声喧哗。

四、春夏交替季节，温差大，同时也是病菌滋生的季节，同学们要注意教室多通风，勤洗手，注意个人卫生，预防传染病的发生。夏天到来，气温渐高，食物中毒事件有可能增多，同学们不要买过期的、变质的、不卫生的食品，尽量不要在街头小摊上买东西吃。

五、夏天到了，不要私自下河游泳。在各项运动中要注意运动安全。上体育课和课外活动前准备活动要充分，运动时要注意不能剧烈地碰撞，以免撞伤或摔伤。平时锻炼运动也要加强，在遇到意外时才能有所准备，应付自如。

六、同学们的日常行为也要有安全意识，不能感情用事。在同学间遇到矛盾时，要冷静、理智，不能发生同学间打架的事件，更不能找校外人解决。

同学们，生命是美好的，生活是多彩的，而要拥有这一切的前提是安全。所以我们一定要时刻加强安全意识，努力增强自我防范能力，做到警钟长鸣。让我们行动起来，普及防灾减灾知识，增强安全意识。
