Each time we gather to inaugurate a president, we bear witness to the enduring strength of our Constitution. We affirm the promise of our democracy. We recall that what binds this nation together is not the colors of our skin or the tenets of our faith or the origins of our names. Together, we resolved that a great nation must care for the vulnerable, and protect its people from life’s worst hazards and misfortune.

Through it all, we have never relinquished our skepticism of central authority, nor have we succumbed to the fiction that all society’s ills can be cured through government alone. Our celebration of initiative and enterprise; our insistence on hard work and personal responsibility, are constants in our character.

Have you ever heard about Warren Buffet, the second richest person in the world? Well, today I am not going to talk about him but his three kids.

For someone whose parent is such an extraordinarily successful investor, the three kids come out pretty ordinary guys. When they were young, they each received $ 10,000 a year. books in the evening. I often help my parents with the housework，too because

they are busy with their work. I am very happy to be a member of this

The cartoon aims at informing us of the significance of an

optimistic mindset. Definitely, no once can deny the importance of it. An

optimistic mindset can help us achieve our objectives more

smoothly and realize our dreams more rapidly. By being optimistic. we can

face challenges and surmount hardships with confidence，keep sober and figure out

effective measures even in desperate

situations. To further illustrate the importance of being optimistic, I

would like to take Beethoven as a case in point: how could he, a great German

music composer who became deaf at his forties,

compose so many enduring and classic symphonies without

optimism?

Accordingly, at no time should we overlook the power of

optimism. once coming across frustrations and intending to give up,

we should remind ourselves that it is optimism that will finally lead us to

大家早上好!我是，今天我演讲的主题是《绿色过节，回归本色》。

我国三国时期著名的政治家、军事家诸葛亮在《诫子书》中写道“夫君子之行，静以修身，俭以养德。”从这句话中我们得知，节俭是拥有高尚品德的必备条件。现在在我看来，节俭也成了让许多的节日回归本色的必要。

在百外的生活是丰富多彩的，每个学期我们都有精彩纷呈的校园节日，如：本学期的美食节、体育节，本周我们又迎来了我们学校最具特色的外语节。

仍记得在体育节中的点滴温暖与感动。在萧瑟的寒风中，同学们团团围坐在一张由几张课桌拼凑而成的大桌子旁，拿着笔一笔一划地、用心地写着为运动员加油的新闻稿，同学们的手冻僵了，大家就一起分享一个热水袋，手稍微暖和点了，就继续为运动员加油，让这份温暖通过广播传递给在运动场上拼搏的运动健将。没有休闲娱乐的电子产品，却有了为班集体贡献自己的一分光与热的激情。与此同时，我也看到了赛场上为运动员加油打气的那一个个激动的身影，他们选择了和自己最亲爱的同学站在一起，没有打磨时间的棋牌游戏，却有了同学之间友谊的增进，和一个个突破自我的优异成绩。我们青春，我们阳光，我们参与，我们快乐。这就是属于我们的最本色的体育节。

在外语节的舞台上，我们无需华丽的装饰，我们只要尽情演绎，放声歌唱，绽放自信而又灿烂的笑容，我们就是最棒。

在圣诞节来临之际，必然会有许多同学之间、亲朋好友之间定会互相赠饱含情谊的圣诞礼物。但在此我想发出一个呼吁，当大家互赠礼物之时，请本着“礼轻情意重”的态度和心境，使圣诞节回归成本来的那个象征着快乐、幸福的欢乐节日，切莫互相攀比礼物的价值和贵重程度，切忌铺张浪费，购买无用的圣诞礼物和仅用一次便丢弃在一旁的装饰品。我们需要的不是贵重的礼物，也不是极尽奢华的装饰，我们真正渴望的只是那一份最纯正的真情和温暖。让一颗朴实无华、回归本质、以节俭为美德的心一直伴随在我们的左右，让我们用自身的实际行动来还原佳节本身的美好和愉快，一同构建一个美好、节俭、绿色环保的圣诞佳节吧!

小时候，总听妈妈给我讲屈原因为楚平王而投汨罗江，从此便有了端午节，我也似懂非懂地知道了：原来端午节是由屈原而产生的。

相传屈原是一个爱国诗人，投江后，汨罗江畔的百姓们纷纷去打捞屈原的尸体，因此有了赛龙舟的习俗;百姓们把饭团等投入江中，因此有了吃棕子的习俗，百姓们把兄雄黄酒倒入江中，因此有了喝雄黄酒的习俗。

Legend has it that Qu Yuan is a patriotic poet, Jiang River, Miluo people

have to recover Qu Yuan's body, so there is the custom of the dragon boat race;

people have the balls and into the river, so there is the custom of eating

zongzi, people are the brother of wine poured into the river, so have a drink

realgar wine the custom.

记得前不久，我还了南湖边，看龙舟竞渡，那儿人山人海，一派热闹的景象，南湖边上围满了人，不用说他们就是来看龙舟竞赛的，只见不远处湖面上，停泊着大大小小的的龙舟，龙舟选手们严阵以待，不过一会儿就上了各自的龙舟，他们一个个精神抖擞，似乎真的是要打捞屈原。一眨眼的工夫，他们就开始了，随着“嘿咻嘿咻”的口号声。他们有节奏地划起龙舟，这使我不禁想象起了当时百姓们纷纷去打捞屈原时的情景……
