And today, his dream lights up the whole world at night.

Walt Disney had a dream, which, in itself, wasn't unusual -- he was always dreaming. He dreamed of making the first animated feature film, and of building an amusement park where parents, together with their kids, could enjoy themselves. Walt Disney empowered his dream and today, Disneyland, Disney world and Disney theme parks attract around the world thrill millions of visitors each year.

John F. kennedy had a dream. He wanted to land a man on the moon and return him safely to the earth so as to restore faith in the American way of life. John F.kennedy empowered his dream and 8 years later Neil Armstrong stepped on the face of the moon. The moon landing certainly gave Americans a newly-founded confidence. Dream --- A world-changing word? Yes ,I will say so ,won't you ? Youth is a special life-relaying station , the growth with the worry ,the life feeling become aware happily with the dream ,collecting a unique youth melody here .

We decide. We choose. And as we decide and choose, our lives are formed. In the end, forming our own destiny is what ambition is about. And most important, we are the one we choose to be.

It is easy to waste our lives ,our days ,or our minutes .It is easy to exist than to live .So hold fast to your dreams, For if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird, which cannot fly. Whether theres afterlife, the answer has never been the same. The atheists deny after life, believing that our life is no more than from the cradle to the grave. They may care about their illustrious names after death; they may feel attached to the affection of their offspring, but they never lay their hopes on their afterlife. They may also say that good will be rewarded with good, and evil with evil, but they dont really believe any retribution in their after life.

However, in the religious world or among the superstitious people, the belief in afterlife is very popular. They do not only believe in afterlife, but thousands of reincarnations as well. Many people burn incense and kowtow, do good deeds and strive for virtues, not just for the present, but mainly to let God see their sincerity so as to be reborn into a better afterlife, or to achieve the highest enlightenment after several lives of practice. They do believe in afterlife. But I cant help asking: Suppose there were no afterlife, would you still do good deeds and strive for virtues? And If God does not see what you are doing, would you still be so upright and selfless? If you work, not for serving the public and liberating the others, but just for a better afterlife of your own, isnt it a little too selfish? Comparing with this kind of believers, those who dont believe in afterlife, but still keep doing good deeds, are the most sincere and honest philanthropists, because they do them not for themselves but for other.

You may wonder if I believe in afterlife. My answer is: I know nothing about my previous life, so I dare not make improper comments on afterlife. But I do hope theres afterlife! Because our present life is so short that so many things slip away before our proper understanding. I have so many dreams, so many wishes, so many ambitions, as well as so many regrets and concerns. If there were no afterlife, all of them will remain unrealized!

Im not contented with the present commonplace life, Im very much attached to the affections that should have been mine but have been washed away by the hurrying time, and I yearn for the perfection and maturity if I could start all over again. So believe it or not, Id rather there were afterlife.

As I sat there in English class, I stared at the girl next to me. She was my so called "best friend". I stared at her long, silky hair, and wished she was mine. Graduation Day

A day passed, then a week, then a month. Before I could blink, it was graduation day. I watched as her perfect body floated like an angel up on stage to get her diploma. I wanted her to be mine, but she didn't notice me like that, and I knew it. Before everyone went home, she came to me in her smock and hat, and cried as I hugged her. Almost all of us heard the story “Here Comes the Wolf” when we were little

kids. What we can learn from the story is that we must be honest. However,

there’re lots of phenomena of dishonesty nowadays。

Being dishonest does great harm not only to other people but also to

yourself. Take the case of fake milk powder for example. After drinking this

kind of milk, the babies had big heads while their legs and arms were still

thin, which badly affected their health. To our great relief, the producers got

accused and punished for all the serious consequences in the end。

Having the reputation of being honest and reliable will make other people

trust you, which will provide you many benefits and give you opportunities that

others may not get. Being honest, you will find it easier to cooperate with

others and people will be friendly to you and support you. In a sense, if life

is a long journey, honesty will be the backpack that should be taken along all

the way. Let’s pick up our “backpack”—honesty, and start the wonderful

口语方面只有多联系对话才会提高。当自己跟着老师说或者与同学用英语对话时间久了以后就会自然而然产生语感，这对你的基础英语提升也是有很大帮助的。还有说道口语还有一点，现在我们的新标准英语是配了MP3格式音频文件，英语发音非常纯正，因为口语跟写完全不同，我们需要跟着正确的读音进行复制，而新标准英语的这套MP3材料给我们提供了一个很好的平台，我们一定要每天跟着标准语音进行朗读，像我就会在背课文前先听1遍背诵段落之后熟悉了，再试着跟着MP3进行复制其语音的朗读，可能一开始跟不上他的口语速度，毕竟我们是中国人，发音与他们不同，所以我们可以在某些他读重音或者停顿或者是快速连读的地方做一些标记，再进行跟读，这样，多跟读几遍就会有显著效果，虽然不能完全模仿，但是你会明显体会到自己的口音开始改变，像标准的口语靠拢了。

俗话说，冰冻三尺非一日之寒，英语就很好的的印证了这句古话，只要我们勤加练习，一个学期应该就会有很大提高，政治上我们也说只有量的积累才有质的飞跃嘛!再说背课文，之前我们多次跟读对我们背课文也有很大帮助。当我们朗诵完5~6遍文章之后，我们对课文内容已经能比较熟悉了，此时我们取下耳机，进行一段一段地慢读，顾名思义，就是慢速阅读，因为之前口语速度过快，所以我们无法记住文章细节，因此我们需要慢读，放慢一些阅读速度，让我们大脑有充分记忆文章细节的反应并且记忆的时间，注意一定要是一段一段的慢读和背诵背诵，这样能记忆牢固，不易忘。我这些大概就是我的英语学习情况了。

最后我再提一些对英语学习的建议：第二，单词的积累。这是学习任何一门语言都是要做的基本功。因为英语单词的数量之多，掌握一定的方法和技巧来记单词是十分必要的。第一，要有一本够用的词典。词典是最好的老师。这里说的词典不是电子词典。了词典还要学会用词典和养成查词典的习惯。第六，注重口语和听力练习，养成背诵和广泛阅读的习惯。口语和听力是我们学习弱项。要解决它们，首先是要重视口语课和听力课;其次是在课后进行大量的口语和听力练习。第四，预习和复习。学习好外语预习和复习一个都不能少。通常需要我们认真预习的课程有精读课，泛读课，作文课。口语课也需要在上课前进行充分的准备。

Many people believe that money is the most important thing in life. It seems impossible to live without money in today’s society. With money people can buy bigger house fancy cloths expensive food luxurious cars and travel all around the world. Money leads to a better life and ensure people’s basic needs. Money is also stand for wealth and social status. If one makes countless money then he is a successful man. As to some young girls money is the only measure to access a man. If a man has a new apartment and a new car he will be the “hot stuff” in the girls’ eye. They marry for money rather than for love. Just like the old Chinese saying goes money makes the mare go. Making more money has become a major goal in the eye of some people. They value money more than anything else in the world.

Different people have different opinions of money. Some people spare no effort to make money such as stealing gambling and cheating. They believe money can bring them everything. However I don’t think money can make people really happy or bring people everything. People can not use money to buy health. Steven Jobs the founder of the Apple Company died of cancer. He was a billionaire but he couldn’t use money to buy himself a longer life. And money can not buy the time that already slip away. Money is also a tool for us to exchange materials but not all the stuff. We should have a right attitude towards money. We should earn money by honest means and spend it probably. Only in this way money can make us happy.

I am proud of being a college student. I like my college life as it is so wonderful time in my youth. As being born in small village of the remote countryside, I didn't have a good education environment.

However, I set a goal and felt confident to be a college student. After hard study, I passed the entrance examination of national college by excellent achievement. All people were proud of me, as I was the first college student in my village. I was farewell warmly by them when I came to school. I was warmly welcome by school, too. After then, I’ve felt my study is not only for myself but also for the honor of my village neighborhood and our school.

The college life is wonderful. All life in school are fresh. New teachers, new classmates and fresh friends are around me. I’ve felt their friendship, wide knowledge and opening mind. When I was a child, my father always told me some stories about the past generation.

Once he told me a story about a doctor.

When the doctor heard people suffering in Spain because of the civil war, he came to help.

He saw many people dying just because they had no money.

Then he proposed a system that enabled the poor to have medical treatment.

It is the beginning of the idea of Socialized Medical Care.

After the war, the doctor worked hard to improve the treatment of tuberculosis.

In 1938, the second Sino-Japanese war broke out in China.

The fifty-year-old doctor came to help again.

During his years in China, he trained more than 1000 Chinese to be medics and doctors.

It was him that designed the world’s first mobile medical unit which saved thousands of lives.In the story, what impressed me most was a description of this admirable doctor.

My father could still remember it even after decades.

It was “his utter devotion to others without any thought of self was shown in his great sense of responsibility in his work and his great warm-heartedness towards all comrades and the people”.Till now, you must know the doctor.

It is Norman Bethune, a distinguished surgeon.

Breathing with Dreams

I have a question for you. ‘Do you know how to breathe?’ Okay, I know what you are thinking now, “Girl, are you kidding me? Everybody knows how to breathe.” Actually, if I were you sitting down in there one year ago, I would think, “How did she make it to the final?”

Alright, seriously speaking, what I am talking about is “the art of breathing”, and it’s about breathing in a Yoga way: peacefully and always under control. What it reveals is the real essence of perseverance, “In order to achieve, sometimes, you need to wait.” And when it comes to things you really want in life, it is as hard as it could possibly be.

For me, singing is a life thing. When I am singing on the stage, I feel whole-heartedly involved, and the self-fulfillment it renders is inexplicably thrilling. But with all the realistic problems I need to face in life, all those I want seem too far to be true– so far that I am terrified that I will never ever be able to get there and that gradually I will be carried away by the currents and torrents of life. I’ve been drowned into this ambivalence for so long. Now, with a refined perspective towards self-realization, I am waiting, in a graceful posture, and knowing that I am going to get there. And on this, I should say, I owe Yoga a thank-you.

I still remember, about one year ago, I attended a Yoga course for the very first time. And to tell you the truth, I went there for a nice figure. However, after practicing for some time, I discovered that there was an ineffable inner-strength burgeoning sneakily in me while I totally focused. In order not to let go this significant power, I started to picture all I wanted in my mind while I was fully concentrating, for I believe the wings of imagination could make things possible. I learned to breathe with my dreams, shaping the eagerness into this elegant gesture of persisting.

And now, if you ask me what exactly is “the art of breathing”, I would say it is indeed “the art of living”. It combines the search of balance, the grace of patience, and the awareness of appreciation.

So even though feelings are tied up with life routines, I could still hold onto that free EGO which I have always adored: the girl who is singing under the spotlight, with all her heart and soul; the girl who is persevering with all she believes in and always feels grateful for what has been bestowed on her.

That girl is now standing right here in front of you, hoping that you are all as lucky as she is, living with dreams and love. No matter how tough things get, I tell myself, I tell myself that, every single thing I am doing now is every step closer to that very moment of my trajectory, just like every Yoga breath to every blossom moment of my life.

有梦想的呼吸

after me. It’s them who teach me knowledge and live happily. I should thank my

Gratitude is the feeling of being grateful, the art of receiving

gracefully, and the act of showing appreciation for every act of kindness, big

or small, that others do for us.Gratitude can take many forms. It can be

expressed by a large, dramatic gesture or it can be shown in a small way, like

finding a very original and personal way to say thanks for a friend’s gift.

Whatever we do to show our gratitude, we should do it in a sincere manner, for

it is the feelings in our hearts that matters the most.The story reminds us how

important it is to express our gratitude to the ones who have offered us help.

We can never be too grateful. The smiles and the thanks we give help us to build

a better world, one that we can all live in and enjoy.

I am grateful, God gave me my kind parents, so I can grow in their love.

First I must say the campus life is really different from what I have experienced in high school.For instance，I used to lean upon my dormitory teache

r to wake me up on time.But now I have to set several alarm clocks to make myself could hear them in the morning otherwise I would miss my class.And then even worse there would be nobody remind me

except my teacher!So the differences are everywhere and I could easily find them.The change of life is great and it’s wonderful:I have more time of my own and the rights to decide how I live.

My campus activities are rich and colorful.Learning English has become a habit to me cause I plan to study abroad in next few years.Playing Guzheng is my favorite activity.I have kept on practising it since I was a little girl and I wish to win more competitions in my campus life.
