Recently I learned from the radio an unpleasant incident about a well known

singer. She is very charming with a sweet beautiful voice and very famous for

singing the song.“Devotion of Love”。 Not long ago,she was invited to Zhejiang

Province to give performance. The moment she was to appear on the stage,she

suddenly asked for more reward. Worse still,after her request was satisfied, she

didnt begin to sing at once. Instead,she took her time to count all the money

piece by piece. Thus she kept the audience waiting for half an hour. So when she

at last showed up and started to sing “Devotion of Love”，a man rose up from his

seat and shouted at her,“You dont have any devotion of love. You are not

qualified to sing this song ! ”Hearing this, the singer stopped singing and

began to shout abuses with her finger pointed at the man. At this time the whole

audience burst into an uproar.

How disappointed her keen listeners were when they learned this! It is the

singer herself who spoiled her beautiful image in the eyes of others.

Now, Im coming to another true story. Its about a poor, ordinary looking

old woman. She was a widow without any children, living barely from hand to

mouth by picking odds and ends from rubbish heaps. However,she took in more than

ten homeless orphans successively and managed to bring them up. Every day she

labored from morning till night. In order to earn as much money as possible to

raise the children and to keep them in school,she even went to a hospital

regularly to sell her blood. She got so weak for the loss of blood that she

sometimes fell in a faint on her way home.

When asked why she chose to burden herself with so many children,she smiled

and simply answered,“Oh,I love children and I like to have their company. ”

Though the old woman was poor materially, she was full of affection and

rich in spirit. She was loved dearly by her children. She was also highly

appreciated by the local government, and truly respected by people in her

community.

Maybe you cant help wondering, “What makes that ordinary woman so

every one has his own dream.when i was a little kid ,my dream was even to have a candy shop of my own .but now ,when i am 16 years old ,standing here ,my dreams have already changed a lot.

i have got quite different experience from other girls.while they were playing toys at home,while they were dreaming to be the princesses in the story .i was running in the hard rain,jumping in the heavy snow,pitching in the strong wind.nothing could stop me ,because of a wonderful call from my heart -- to be an athlete.yeah ,of course ,i'm an athlete,i'm so proud of that all the time .

As you can imagine, as international students in Australia, the biggest challenge is English,

I remembered that when I come here first time, there is a party in the house of my home stay. When I came to Wantirna College first time, I met liz collar who is international student coordinator. She is very kind to me, and she encourage me join SRC, I went to SRC meetings regularly all the time, but I didn’t even know what SRC was! That is the reason why I told her, I don’t want to go to SRC anymore. But she said “why not? You should go and you have to go!”I asked” why?” she said:” because I said so!”

But as ii receive this award today, I want to thank her. She helps me a lot.

Truth be told, I am not the best student in Wantirna College, but I appreciate this award and I will try my best in future.

Deng's rapid rise to the top of the table tennis world drew worldwide attention, including the eye of Juan Antonio Samaranch, the president of International Olympic Committee who watched her progress with interest. He promised to attend the award ceremony if she won at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. She made it, and Mr. Samaranch kept his word.

1994 saw a rare setback in her career when she lost the single's gold medal to Japan's Koyama Chire at the 12th Asian Games. Despite this setback, she soon recovered her form and won 3 events at the 1995 World Table Tennis Championship and 2 golds in the Atlanta Olympics. Once again, Mr. Samaranch watched her to collect her medals. She once again rewrote the record books when she became the first table tennis player in history to clinch both the women's singles and doubles golds at 2 consecutive Olympic Games.

In recent years, thousands and thousands of people leave the comforts of their homes to study in countries such as united states,Canada,England and so on. What's more, more and more people study abroad become younger. Why do they do it? The problem is worthy of serious consideration.

Everything has tow sides. Not only has the advantages but also has disadvantages, including studying abroad. I am writing to express my views on the playground vandalism near my housing estate. The housing estate where I live in in the New Territories has many excellent facilities. While most people treat them properly, there are some people destroy all these valuable public resources. The playground equipment is heavily damaged. Some facilities are burned and broken. The graffiti are completely covered all over the place. Some of the graffiti even includes bad language. It’s adversely influence the children safety and our precious public resources.

The reason of this vandalism is mainly related to the people who are out of boredom and the shortage of security. Nowadays, most teenagers like to spend their time through hanging out with friends. When they have nothing to play or any recreational activities, the playground may be targeted as an amusement for spending their time. Due to teenagers are now in the process of building self-worth and self-esteem, they will try to do something over in order to get the peer recognition. For instant, the teenagers pretend to be a leader through destroying the facilities. In these recent years, these selfish and irresponsible behaviors under the fabricating, exaggerating from social media, started becoming rationalized. That’s why the playground vandalism happens. Secondly, it is because of the shortage of security guards. If there is security guard checking the playground regularly, to deter any vandalism promptly, this phenomenon will not happen.

To solve the problem, establishing a youth centre and forming a management committee are the best ways to solve the problem. Since Teenagers are having more free time, their needs of recreational activity are relatively elevated. Therefore, if there’s any activity or place to let them spend their free time, they will naturally lose interest in the destruction of the park, so as to protect the playground’s facilities and relieve the serious vandalism efficaciously. Establishing a youth centre is the best way to let the teenagers getting the community involved and spends their free time. In the youth centre, it will be provided some sporting equipment, chess game for them to play. Also, the youth centre will organize some activities for teenagers to enrich their life and help them to build up self-esteem, responsibility and self-worth. Let them can get into the community involved in the future easily.

Second, it’s about the security. Due to the shortage of security guard, the teenagers can go to destroy the park whenever they want. Nobody cares about it and looks after the place. It’s conceivable that the vandalism will continuously happen if there isn't any security guard. In contrast, if there is a management committee to supervise the playground, patrol it regularly, teenagers will behave more appropriate if they know that someone is watching them, so as to protect our facilities.

The situation now needs urgent attention! The existing playground is broken and dangerous for young children to play in. It’s not just vandalism, is a danger bomb in the society! If the problem cannot be solved promptly, it will become a vicious cycle, fully threaten our children safety and our daily life. Therefore, I earnestly urge the relevant departments to face and solve this problem immediately, so as to protect our children and facilities.

There was an elder who traveled all around the world to introduce China for bidding Olympic games. That special hard experience had rooted in his mind. After hearing the good news that China succeeded in the bid for hosting the 29th Olympic Games, he was so excited that he could not stop shedding tears, saying I had been waiting for the day since 1993, the happiest thing finally happened to China. The man is Mr. HeZhenliang, who has devoted his rest life to Chinese Olympic Games. It is with his spirit, passion, courage and strong sense of patriotism to China that we are taking our next step into the world.

Here, I’d like to share my own experience abroad with you. Several years ago,

I was very lucky to have an opportunity to live in the Australia about half a

month. During that time, Not only did I enjoy the beautiful natural scenery

there, but also I appreciated the people’s active way of protecting their

environment. Now, whenever the environment protection is mentioned, the

beautiful scenery of Australia will arise in my mind, white clouds flying across

When the temperature is high and when the air is thick with dust and smoke.

The streets are crowded with people.

The streets seem alive with people.

People eating.

People washing.

People talking.

People sleeping.

People visiting each other, arguing and screaming.

People relieving themselves.

People pushing their hands through the taxi windows, begging.

People leading animals.

People, people, people, people.

As we drive slowly through the crowd, sounding the taxi’s horn, the dust, heat, noise and cooking fires made it like a scene from hell! I admit, frightening.

To the nature, overpopulation is a big problem.

More people, more pollution.

And the big population is threatening the nature every second.

The rapid rise in world population is not creating problems only for the developing countries.

The whole world faces the problem that raw materials are being used up at an increasing rate and food production can not keep up with the population increase.

People in rich countries make the heaviest demands on the world’s resources, its food, fuel and land, and cause the most pollution.

A baby born in the United States will use in his lifetime 30 times more of the world’s resources than a baby born in India.

Unless all the countries of the world take united action to deal with the population explosion there will be more and more people fighting for a share of less and less land, food and fuel, and the future will bring poverty, misery and war to us all

As the whole world has its boundaries, limits and freedom coexist in our life. I don’t expect complete freedom, which is impossible. I simply have a dream that supports my life.

I dream that one day, I could escape from the deep sea of thick schoolbooks and lead my own life. With my favorite fictions, I lie freely on the green grass, smelling the spring, listening to the wind singing, breathing the fresh and cool air and dissolve my soul in nature at last. Simple and short enjoyment can bring me great satisfaction.

I dream that one day the adults could throw their prejudice of comic and cartoon away. They could keep a lovely heart that can share sorrow and happiness with us while watching cartoon or doing personal things. That’s the real communication of heart to heart.

I have the belief that my dreams should come true. I am looking forward to some day coming when I am like a proud eagle, which flies to the blue and vast sky.

I’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech. We all know that

Bingxin has a famous saying “we always admire the beauty of flowers but its

sprout was watered by tears of struggle and rained by blood of sacrifice”.

So for the majority， behind their success， are filled of sweat and tears.

Eagle flying in the vast firmament， must be experienced the pain of countless

times fall under the cliff， then hammered out a pair of volley wings. A shinning

of pearls， inevitably suffered countless body friction and numerous waves’

shock. In this view， a real successful people， and he must experienced numerous

times to stand up again and agin after failed， because without sweat and tears

on the life road ，no one can casually get the beautiful flowers. Alfter a heavy

fall Shi Tiesheng lost his legs， it must be a heavy blow for anyone. But he

didn't lose faith in life， but use his brain and hands to show the infinite love

of life.

Beethoven was blind and deaf， but he still had written the "Hero""Destiny"nd

so on a large number of music works， in his unfortunately life， he doggedly

gripped the "fate of the throat. They all had a fall， but they are strong enough

to stand up， fight against fate and misfortune， finally they succeed. So for

each of us， wrestling is not terrible， lose confidence and courage in life is

the most terribe thing. In my opionion， the sweat and tears during the life’

journey are very important for us， they hone our will， and enrich our

experience.

As the saying goes， how can you see the rainbow without a rainy day， while

you don't work hard and not struggle， how can you gain the successful flowers.

All in all， the sweat and tears on the struggling road is inevitable， don’t look

for shortcuts anymore， steadfast walk every step， we will succeed in the

end.

So belief yourself， nothing is impossile， just do it. Thank you for taking

your time to listen to my speech， I hope in the near future we all can be

successful.

iversity is not as satisfactory as what I had expected. I become lazy and don't want to study.I become silcent. I become puzzled. I don't know what I can do in the future. Then I become unhappy.

Four years in the university is only a short period when compared my whole lifetime. Now it has passed a half. In this year, many people ,such as my parents,my friends, ask me what I want to do and tell me to map out a plan for my life.

I don't want to follow their suggestion, and I want to go my style. So I think carefully. I have been a young volunteer for five years.It's very happy and significant. Then I have a dream.I want to join the Univerity Student Volunteers Go West Programe. I think I can be a teacher in the west.I want to try my best to help them and help me. I want to see the world cearly. Now I can't reach its demand and it's very diffcult,but I will work hard in the next two years. There is an old saying"where there is a will,there is a way."I think my dream can come ture.Now in the university I mature,and in the university I prepare for the real world.

At last,I want to say to everybody"Hlod fast to your dreams,no matter how big or small they are.The path to dreams may not be smooth and wide,even some sacrifices are needed.But hold on to the end,you can find there is no geater happiness than making your dream come ture."

Animals are natural resources that people have wasted all through our history. Animals have been killed for their fur and feathers, for food, for sport, and simply because they were in the way. Thousands of kinds of animals have disappeared from the earth forever. Hundreds more are on the danger list today. About 170 kinds in the United States alone are considered in danger.

Why should people care? Because we need animals, and because once they are gone, there will never be any more. Animals are more than just beautiful or interesting. They are more than just a source of food. Every animal has its place in the balance of nature. Destroying one kind of animal can create many problems. For example, when farmers killed large numbers of hawks, the farmers' stores of corn and grain were destroyed by rats and mice. Why? Because hawks eat rats and mice, with no hawks to keep down their numbers, the rats and mice multiplied quickly.

Luckily, some people are working to help save the animals. Some groups raise money to let people know about the problem. And they try to get the governments to pass laws protecting animals in danger. Quite a few countries have passed laws. These laws forbid the killing of any animal or plant on the danger list. Slowly, the number of some animals in danger is growing.

When someone looks into your eyes they should see something alive within you. Having a dream is like owning a lighthouse1 which directs you on your journey.

At every turn we come across its mystery. At each new level we become more of the person we were meant to become. In lonely times, when we pass through a storm of disappointment, we find our faith is unshaken, our strength still strong.

Believe in your faith. Set the vision before your eyes. Write down your most sincere dreams and when the opportunity comes, step into your dream. It may take one season or more, but the result is the same. Make big dreams and then go out and make them realities. The highest hopes of the dreamer are revealed with every step taken in their journey to the impossible. For a season we must protect the dream so that it can grow quietly on the inside. But if we tenderly care for our deepest expectations, slowly but surely the dream will become new life.

Dreaming is an act of faith. The light of your expectations will cast off the shadows of a disbelieving world. God has given us the dreamer as a gift to light an unbelieving world.

Find your treasure within and cherish2 it. Tomorrow is waiting for you to take the first step.
