i know what it means to have an absent father, although my circumstances werent

as tough as they are for many young people today. even though my father left us

when i was two years old, and i only knew him from the letters he wrote and the

stories that my family told, i was luckier than most. i grew up in hawaii, and

had two wonderful grandparents from kansas who poured everything they had into

helping my mother raise my sister and me - who worked with her to teach us about

love and respect and the obligations we have to one another. i screwed up more

often than i shouldve, but i got plenty of second chances. and even though we

of money, scholarships gave me the opportunity to go to some of the best

schools in the country. a lot of kids dont get these chances today. there is no

margin for error in their lives. so my own story is different in that

Hi, everybody. This Sunday is Father’s Day, and so I wanted to take a

moment to talk about the most important job many of us will ever have and that’s

being a dad.

Today we’re blessed to live in a world where technology allows us to

connect instantly with just about anyone on the planet. But no matter how

advanced we get, there will never be a substitute for the love and support and,

most importantly, the presence of a parent in a child’s life. And in many ways,

that’s uniquely true for fathers.

I never really knew my own father. I was raised by a single mom and two

wonderful grandparents who made incredible sacrifices for me. And there are

single parents all across the country who do a heroic job raising terrific kids.

But I still wish I had a dad who was not only around, but involved; another role

model to teach me what my mom did her best to instill – values like hard work

and integrity; responsibility and delayed gratification – all the things that

give a child the foundation to envision a brighter future for themselves.

That’ s why I try every day to be for Michelle and my girls what my father

was not for my mother and me. And I’ve met plenty of other people – dads and

uncles and men without a family connection –who are trying to break the cycle

and give more of our young people a strong male role model.

I’m still figuring out how to be a better husband to my wife and father to my

kids.

And I want to do what I can as President to encourage marriage and strong

families. We should reform our child support laws to get more men working and

engaged with their children. And my Administration will continue to work with

the faith and other community organizations, as well as businesses, on a

campaign to encourage strong parenting and fatherhood.

Because if there’s one thing I’ve learned along the way, it’s that all our

what matters most. When I look back on my life, I won’t be thinking about any

particular legislation I passed or policy I promoted. I’ll be thinking about

Michelle, and the journey we’ve been on together. I’ll be thinking about Sasha’s

dance recitals and Malia’s tennis matches –about the conversations we’ve had and

the quiet moments we’ve shared. I’ll be thinking about whether I did right by

them, and whether they knew, every day, just how much they were loved.

That’s what I think being a father is all about. And if we can do our best

to be a source of comfort and encouragement to our kids; if we can show them

unconditional love and help them grow into the people they were meant to be;

then we will have succeeded.

My father don't like the other fathers,he is like a kid.For instance,he

always likes to play computer games,but there is only one computer on my home,so

we often agure with each other for this.

My faher's job is very hard and tired.Although he gets home is very late,he

The Duke and Duchess of Susse_ have made their first public appearance as a married couple since the royal wedding.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who chose to delay their honeymoon to attend to royal duties, arrived at a garden party in honour of Prince Charles’ 70th birthday.

Held in the gardens of Buckingham Palace, the party will be hosting more than 6,000 guests from various charities and military associations linked to the Prince.

Although the Prince’s real birthday is on November 14, celebrations are held in May as it is more fitting for a garden party.

During her first public appearance as a member of the royal family, the Duchess of Susse_ appeared right at home in her new role.

She arrived wearing a light cream colour 590 ‘Flavia’ dress by designer Goat, and a matching hat.

While at the party, the 36-year-old bonded with her in-laws the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla, and Prince Charles, laughing together over a shared joke.

The Duke of Susse_ also had an important role at the party, where he gave a speech honouring his father’s charity work, as well as the victims of the Manchester Arena bombing and the work of the emergency crews.

Prince Harry said: “We’re here today to reflect on and to celebrate my father’s dedicated support to all of you and the work that you do.

“But first I would like us to take a moment to reflect on the tragic events at the Manchester Arena a year ago.

“We are fortunate to have over 250 representatives from the emergency services here today. It is right that we take a moment to recognise the amazing work they do every day.”

The Prince of Wales' 70th Birthday Patronage Celebration is a way for Prince Charles to recognise and celebrate public service.

The 70-year-old supports over 420 charities, which raise more than 120mannually.

Many years ago, a baby boy came into this world. But unfortunately, he didn't come with a cry, which was a big problem from the medical point of view. The doctor, tough and quick, turned the baby upside down and slapped his bottom sharply. The baby cried, and he survived. At that moment, the father yelled at the doctor, Why did you hit my baby? He did not realize that the doctor had saved the baby's life. The baby cried and cried, and the father smiled and silently cried as well. He held the baby in his arms and did not allow the doctor to touch the baby anymore.Contest chair, ladies and gentlemen, that baby was me, and that man was my dad. Whenever my mom told people this story, I would always laugh aloud, and my dad would just shake his head and smile quietly.

My father

My father always stands in the center of my life, from past till now and possibly in the future.

My family was rather poor when I was in my childhood. We didn't have our own house and had to live in a shabby, small room rented from my father's factory. The room was so small that there was little space for people to walk. I didn't have my own bed and had to sleep with my parents. This is terrible both for my parents and me.

But father made this all different! Since the room was on the third floor, namely, the top floor in that old style building, the roof was quite high above the floor. So father got an idea. He bought two thick ropes and a flat wood that later was planed smooth, painted and drilled two holes on both ends.

Then he hung the ends of ropes up to the roof. During the daytime, these two ropes would be tied up so that people down could walk freely! When night came, father would loose the ropes and tied them to the two holes of that flat wood. The length of these ropes was just long enough for me to sit or sleep on the board without other's help.

So in this way my lovely, removable bed was born.

When winter came, this special bed obviously wouldn't be able to make me feel warm enough. But father always had his so lution! He built a garret using some flat wood and iron sticks right above the bed. With some used iron tubes, he made an iron ladder for us to climb up to the garret. Besides, he made a wood en desk for me to do my homework, and some simple furniture for my clothes, books and something else he had in fact made a small bedroom for me.

At first, my mother and I dared not climb for fear that it might collapse. But father climbed it everyday to prove its safety. The garret looked simple even shabby and the ladder seemed to decline soon. But later when I got used to it, I found it as solid as those made by professional carpenters.

I carried all my personal things onto that garret. My father and I pasted red papers on the wall and painted the ugly furniture red. So the garret became the first "room" that belonged to me.When I was about to move to my new house, I just didn't want to leave. That garret was created with my father's love and sweat and intelligence, beautified with my hand and filled with so many sweet memories of my family! That hard but sweet life time would live in my memory forever with father stands in the center of it.
