architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the constitution and

the declaration of independence, they were signing a promissory note to which

every american was to fall heir. this note was a promise that all men would be

guaranteed the inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of

happiness.

it is obvious today that america has defaulted on this promissory note

insofar as her citizens of color are concerned. instead of honoring this sacred

obligation, america has given the negro people a bad check which has come back

marked "insufficient funds." but we refuse to believe that the bank of justice

is bankrupt. we refuse to believe that there are insufficient funds in the great

vaults of opportunity of this nation.

so we have come to cash this check -- a check that will give us upon demand

the riches of freedom and the security of justice.

we have also come to this hallowed spot to remind america of the fierce

urgency of now. this is no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to

take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism. now is the time to rise from the dark

and desolate valley of segregation to the sunlit path of racial justice. now is

the time to open the doors of opportunity to all of god's children. now is the

time to lift our nation from the quicksands of racial injustice to the solid

rock of brotherhood.

it would be fatal for the nation to overlook the urgency of the moment and

to underestimate the determination of the negro. this sweltering summer of the

negro's legitimate discontent will not pauntil there is an invigorating autumn

of freedom and equality. nineteen sixty-three is not an end, but a

lead us to distrust of all white people, for many of our white brothers, as

evidenced by their presence here today, have come to realize that their destiny

is tied up with our destiny and their freedom is inextricably bound to our

freedom.

we cannot walk alone.and as we walk, we must make the pledge that we shall

march ahead. we cannot turn back. there are those who are asking the devotees of

civil rights, "when will you be satisfied?" we can never be satisfied as long as

our bodies, heavy with the fatigue of travel, cannot gain lodging in the motels

of the highways and the hotels of the cities. we cannot be satisfied as long as

the negro's basic mobility is from a smaller ghetto to a larger one. we can

make, slowly know life hard and dream is really too difficult, but I will work

hard, to see everyone to live up early to catch up later, hold oneself no longer

loose.

I am grateful for the opportunity to deliver my speech here after 7-days’ preparation with my friend Jinly. Thanks to Jinly’s strong support in our work. I think it is my way of saying thank you to you that giving an excellent presentation to all my friends here.

The subject of our presentation is “YOURdream& YOURGOAL”. During the next 10 minutes, we’ll give you a brief explanation of these stuff at the best of our knowledge.

First of all, I’d like to spent 3 or 5 minutes on discussing about the dream. When we were 5, they asked us what we want to be when we grow up. We answered like superman, princess, or in my case, a sailor moon. When we were 10, again they asked and the answer was policemen, doctors and some other high-principled jobs. But unfortunately, we finally found our dreams unrealistic as we entered a not-so-good high school, did not-so-good school works and went to a not-so-good direction in our life. I guess, many of you have thought about changing your dreams, but finally felt at a loss again. Yep! We’re adults and they are waiting for a serious answer. Well, how about this? WHO THE HELL KNOWS! Dream is only a dream. It’s unnecessary for us to think over our dreams all day long. You know, dreams always change, and this is not the time to make difficult decisions. But what do dreams do? Why do we still have an urgent need of dreams?

Think about it: do you have had a time when you were full of happiness just because you have made an achievement that pushes you a bit to your dream? Do you have had a time when you insist on what you were doing even the tears keep falling from your eyes? That is the power from dreams! May I equate the faith and the dream here? As we all know, aims and dreams are far from each other to some extent but close to each other on the other hand. Just like the parabola and the number line in mathematics. But it is the dream that help us to map out our aim and work out plans one after another in our life. Just like what Howard Schultz, the founder of the Starbuck said, Dreams are like the stars----we never reach them, but like mariners, we chart our course by them. And I believe that if you have a dream and make efforts step by step, some of you may extremely finish the quantitative change on the way to success and reach the qualitative change!

I would like to finish my part by a tongue twister: Whether the weather be fine or whether the weather be not. Whether the weather be cold or whether the weather be hot. We'll weather the weather whether we like it or not. Whatever you dreams are and however difficult it is to realize them. Reach your aim step by step and I believe your dreams will extremely come into truth!

However, what is the dream? What is dream? Dream is looking forward to, and the dream is strong - is fleeting dream you insist on the ideal as their courage and perseverance, are you responsible for their own highest level. But ask yourself, how many of us to accomplish his original dream in mind?

Our dream is a simple belief, is a future and life of their own responsibility. Perhaps, is the Youth

grand ambitions; perhaps, is the adolescent confusion and impulsive; maybe just a plain desire, desire applause, eager for success. Countless "may," innumerable "hope" because of our youthful full of miracles, large and small dreams in our hearts, in every corner of life filled with fragrance.

Only the ideal but no effort is useless. If you want to be a teacher, you should to study hard. If you want to be a player, you should do more exercises. If you want to become a businessman, he should learn to get along with people. For example, my wish is to be a famous writer grew up, because I really love writing, so from now on, I should read more, more accumulate knowledge, and strive to improve writing level. No pains, no gains, because my efforts, so my article was punished in many newspapers , and in many composition contest, I see the success I'm happy, so, struggle is the bridge to the ideal.

Hi, everyone, my name is __. I’m _ years old .Today I will tell you my

dream.

My dream is to be an astronaut to the moon in the future. I want to go to

the moon because the moon is very beautiful, I like it. Second, on the moon, I

can fly in the space without plane. Third, I want to research minerals to help

the people on the earth. Some minerals are very rare on the earth, but I can

find more on the moon. Some minerals people use them too much so that only a few

left, I can find more on the moon. This is the most important reason for me to

be the astronaut.

How can I be an astronaut? Firstly, I can read some books about the space

and the moon. Secondly, I can learn hard now to get more knowledge. Ne_t, I

should have a healthy body. I will eat more healthy food, like rice, vegetables

something they don’t know, I can tell them. I can help my parents too; I will do

had a dream， i want to invent a device which could bring you from one place to

another in no time at all. when i was in the secondary school, my dream was to

study in my ideal university. and when eventually i got into the university, my

dream was to graduate. how pathetic! when we grow up, we dream less and become

more realistic. why? why do we have to change our dreams, so, so in order to let

it be “fulfilled”? why do we have to surrender to the so-called “reality”? what

is the reality actually?

ladies and gentlemen, the reality is not real. it is barrier keeping us

from all possible fantasies. flying, for example, had been a dream to mankind

for thousands of years. a hundred years ago, “man could not fly” was still

regarded as the “reality”. now if that was really the reality, what did the

wright brothers do? how did some of you get to macao? only when we believe that

the reality is not real can we soar with our dreams. people say that our future

is a battle between the reality and our dreams. and if, unfortunately,

mr.reality wins this war, then i see no future of mankind at all. aids will

never be curable as this is the reality; people living in the undeveloped

countries will suffer from starvation forever as this is the reality; disputes

among different countries would never be settled as this misunderstandings and

intolerance is the reality.

ladies and gentlemen, how many of you have a dream of being able to make a

lot of money? please raise your hands. oh, quite a number of you! actually,

ladies and gentlemen, this is not a dream, but a task. every one of us has to

make a living, right? anyway i hope your task will be accomplished. how many of

you think hat you have already fulfilled your dream and that you don’t dream

anymore? dear adjudicators, what do you think? c.s.lewis once said, “you are

never too old to dream a new dream. “so for our future, please dream and be

unrealistic. now that i am university student, my goal is to graduate with

excellences. but at the same time, i have dream deeply rooted in our future. one

day, people living in the areas now sweltering with the horror of wars will be

able to sit with their families and enjoy their every moment. one day, from the

rich countries are willing to share what they have with those from the poor

countries and those from the countries will eventually be able to make their own

happy living themselves. one day , different cultures in this age of

Good morning/afternoon, Dear teachers and my friends. I’m a student from No.2 middle school of Qugou. My name is Zhao Bingjie. I’m very glad to stand here to make a short speech for you. Today my speech topic is “embrace the dream”.

Many people have a dream about the future besides me. I had a beautiful dream since I was a young little girl. I really want to be an outstanding writer like Guo Jingming in the future, because I liked reading very much when I was a child. So, I practice writing articles in my free time, by doing that I feel very comfortable. I love my dream and I will try my best to make my dream come true.

It’s about my dream, what about you? Do you have a dream? Do you think everyone has their own dreams? In fact, you are wrong. Many people never thought about future and what they will be like. They never have a dream . It’s not good for them. Only have dreams, then we can know what we should do for our dreams and try our best to make them true. So, it’s important and necessary to have a dream.

Someone once said that success comes from a dream. So, fellow students, let’s have a dream, and embrace the dream. Then, we will have a beautiful tomorrow!

My dream is to do myself well.Maybe you will say it's so easy that you can do it right away.Really

When I was young,I lived by a river.At first,the river was very clean.After several years,the river was covered with lots of rabbish.In my eyes,I felt very sad,removing the gabbage from the river.As we all know,we can't do anything without water,and we will die,then the world will end.Why does it occurThat's only because we can't do ourselves well and throw the gabbage everywhere.After that,I dicided to do myself well.

However,when I entered senior high school,I lost myself and forgot my dream.As a student,I was supported to study hard,but I indulged myself in surfing the internet.I hadn't even mentioned my dream before my mom asked me with anger whether I would stick to my dream.I felt very guilty ,and still remembered the look of my mom.I must insist on my dream,never give up.I'm sure I can do myself well.

Once going on the wrong road,you may not do youself well.Now ,would you still think my dream is very easy to come true

Idreamof being a doctor.

My mother is a doctor. She always has to work extra hours and comes home late and tired. She has to go to the hospital immediately any time she is needed, no matter how late it is at night. When I was very little and still in primary school, I once asked her why she chose such a boring and hard job. She answered with a smile, “Yes I am sometimes very tired but seeing my patients getting better and better makes me happy from the bottom of my heart.”

As I grow up, I gradually come to understand her words and realize doctors are noble. I made up my mind to be a doctor when I was in junior school and this has never changed since then.

I really hope to see a world where there is no cancer, no Aids, no fatal disease, no one suffering from illness. But this is only a fantasy. What about the reality? There are still many many people who are faced with disastrous disease and suffering from constant pain. There are still many many people living in miserable condition and live miserably. There are still many many people dying of cancer and leaving the beautiful world reluctantly. All those things make me feel sad because I think everyone has the right to live . I want to help the sick and reduce their pain as much as I can. I want to bring a healthy body to the patients and save their lives as many as I can. I want to see people cured ,living happily with their families and friends after my treatment. So I want to be a doctor ,an angel in white.

When I become a doctor, I will cherish each life regardless of the races, sexes, ages, positions and occupations. I will do every bit to cure the incurable.

I already have a dream in my heart,so I have to make every effort to realize it.As a high school student now,I will seize every chance to study hard,arm myself with knowledge, prepare myself for the future and strive for my dreams. I will be determined, face the reality bravely and not surrender to any problems I meet.

When I was in middle school, I moved to the city to live with my parents, I

miss my hometown all the time, I can’t forget about the beautiful mountain and

the clear water. So in this summer vacation, I went back to my hometown, when I

saw the familiar country road, I was so happy, I knew I was close to the nature.

I took in the fresh air, I smelt the straw’s flavor, I took a look at the

mountains and the clear water again. All of these made me relaxed, the nature

was right in front of me. I hope the scenery won’t change all the time, once I

have time, I will come back to enjoy it.
