I dream that one day the adults could throw their prejudice of comic and cartoon away. They could keep a lovely heart that can share sorrow and happiness with us while watching cartoon or doing personal things. That’s the real communication of heart to heart.

I have the belief that my dreams should come true. I am looking forward to some day coming when I am like a proud eagle， which flies to the blue and vast sky.

My dream

I enter tile university after years of hardstudy and preparation. But life in the university is not as satisfactory as what I had expected. I become lazy and don't want to study.I become silcent. I become puzzled. I don't know what I can do in the future. Then I become unhappy.

Four years in the university is only a short period when compared my whole lifetime. Now it has passed a half. In this year, many people ,such as my parents,my friends, ask me what I want to do and tell me to map out a plan for my life. I don't want to follow their suggestion, and I want to go my style. So I think carefully. I have been a young volunteer for five years.It's very happy and significant. Then I have a dream.I want to join the University Student Volunteers Go West Programe. I think I can be a teacher in the west.I want to try my best to help them and help me. I want to see the world cearly. Now I can't reach its demand and it's very diffcult,but I will work hard in the next two years. 各位亲爱的家长们下午好！首先允许我代表各科任老师祝各位妈妈们母亲节快乐！首再次我要感谢各位家长的到来。您的到来是对我们的教学工作的支持，也是对孩子学习的重视。孩子的教育需要家庭和学校相互的配合和支持，作为七年级2班的英语老师，我特别希望能都得到大家的支持，希望您能和我一起帮助孩子学习英语。今天利用这个机会，向家长们汇报我们2班英语学科方面的学习现状。

期中成绩：参考40人，32人及格（72），16人优秀（96分），4人特优（108），年级排名第10（12）。相比较年级其它班级，我们班的特优率和优秀率都基本保持持平（略高于），但是为什么我们的班的成绩会排到年级后列呢？首先一点，试卷上的题目基本都是考前讲过练过了的，如果大家能够课堂40分钟认真听讲并作笔记，参与课堂活动，并在回家后复习，独立高质量的完成各项作业要求，理想分数应该是排到年级前六（三班如是）。但是这次仅仅排到第10名，并且平均分是相对靠后的，这就说明同学们在学习过程中，认真听讲，参与课堂，笔记，回家复习，独立完成作业并未达到要求。

每个在座的同学们认真思考下认真听讲了没有？参与课堂活动了没有？做笔记了没有？反过来，说话，上课完东西，刻橡皮章，看东看西就是不看黑板屏幕，这些现象层出不穷。每次上课最起码整顿一次课堂纪律。回家复习，作业等也不容乐观。每次周末回来交作业就像打仗是的，该补作业的补作业，也有同学顶风冒险将空白本子或者未完成的作业上交，就赌老师发现不了。让大家抄单词的时候哀声一片，让大家背单词的时候钻空子，一听写又陷入死循环，不会的同学继续罚抄，有同学宁愿罚抄也不愿意动脑经去背书。讲练习册时，不管正确与否，只追求一个正确答案，不求甚解，讲解时反反复复就是那十几个同学提问，讲完了，也就收起来了，不会进行及时的反思和总结，并且讲完了还不知道自己错哪里不懂的订正的人也存在一部分。

在英语课堂上，大部分同学都能很活跃的回答老师提出的问题，积极跟着老师拼读单词，朗读课文。其实这也制造了一种假象，同学认为自己常常被老师提问，认为自己能够回答老师的问题，于是认为自己的英语学得很不错，自我感觉特别好。于是下课后在英语上花的时间就少了。其实要学好英语，课上占40%，其余的60%还需要同学在课后不断的巩固，加深记忆。在课上老师更多的是教授新知识，当然课上也会有少量的时间巩固新学的知识。但是这些时间是公共的时间，而不是每个学生私有的时间，所以不可能照顾到每个学生，不可能让所有学生都达到相同的程度。况且每个学生对新知识得接受能力都是不同的`，有的可能当堂就已经有很深的印象，很难忘记，但这肯定是很少的。大部分同学都只能是初步接触了新知识，要真正接受新知识还要学生在课后多下功夫，不然肯定会和别的同学拉下差距。

我知道，很多家长都是很重视自己孩子的英语学习的，因为英语学习不管是对我们的日常生活还是升学工作来说，都产生着重要的作用，有着重大的意义。而我们初中阶段的教学在于培养学生的学习兴趣，良好的语言习惯与运用英语进行交际的能力及跨文化意识。因此，我的课堂也是围绕听说读写这几个方面对所学知识进行操练和运用。通过一个多学期的教学，我们2班的孩子大多数的孩子自尊心强，上进心强，学习能力也不错，虽然这次考的不好，但是我还是对我们的孩子有信心的。问题来了，大部分的同学学习态度不端正、学习习惯差。正是因为这个问题，才导致以上的情况。

究其根源，个人认为是因为学生安于现状，没有目标和动力，没有竞争意识。

针对以上问题，我向各位家长提一些方法和策略，希望得到各位家长的配合和支持。

1. 督促孩子在家听英语磁带，周末在家每天坚持听读20分钟以上，这将对孩子的学习提高有很大的帮助。

2. 请家长督促孩子在家完成周末作业，以免他们来学校时互相抄袭。有的时候默写或者背诵，我会请各位家长签字。背单词的时候要边拼边写，嘴巴和手都要动起来，嘴上十遍不如手上一遍。家长在这里要作好检查督促的工作，不要用不懂英语来帮助你的孩子学会偷懒，你可以报中文，让你的孩子默写，然后对照书本批改订正，坚持的话，你一定会有意想不到的效果。还有句型，学生应该在课上领会句型的意思和运用方法。课后还需要通过多读课文，多练习才能巩固所学的句型。所以请各位家长不光要注重孩子背单词短语的情况，还要让他重视句子的重要性。

3. 每个周末我都会布置阅读作业，请一定督促您的孩子独立按照要求完成作业。得阅读者得半边天。

我们几位科任老师和各位家长有着共同的心愿，都想尽自己最大的努力去培养我们的孩子，他们个个都聪明、可爱，只是有些孩子的潜能还未得到充分的挖掘。今后，我也希望与各位家长共同努力，如果孩子遇到学习问题，我们及时沟通，望家长能够配合解决。我还是那句话，我们的孩子们不是没有学习能力，而是学习态度、学习行为习惯不好，只要我们加强监管，帮助他们形成好的习惯，成绩会上来的。

3月10日，我区全体教育工作者在燎原俱乐部听了冯区长《关于转变教育思想、更新教育观念》的动员报告，3月16日，我镇文教办又召开了全体教职工参加的《关于转变教育思想、更新教育观念》的再动员大会，今天，我校又一次组织全体教师召开《关于转变教育思想、更新教育观念》的再动员大会，通过动员大会的召开，使我更加深刻的认识到：实施素质教育的今天，转变教育思想、更新教育观念是多么重要！

作为一名科任教师，在今后的工作中，我决心做到以下几点：

1、认真学习《教师职业道德规范》、《教师法》、《教育法》等法律法规，严格遵守职业道德规范，加强自身师德教育，教书育人，为人师表，敬业爱岗，争创受家长和社会喜爱的好教师。

2、在日常工作中，坚持不迟到，不早退，早来晚归。对工作认真负责，积极主动，自觉服从领导分配，勇挑重担，积极进取，不图名利，模范遵守学校的一切规章制度。

3、积极参加上级领导及学校组织的各项活动，并努力配合班主任做好学生的工作。

各位家长：

上午好

我是五年二班的语文老师曾老师，本学期由我来担任五年二班的语文课教学，首先还是要感谢各位家长在近一学期以来对我工作的支持，感谢您对学生关心和重视，因为孩子的教育光靠老师是不行，还是需要家长们的大力配合。由于开学初对教师进行重新组合，我又是刚刚接触这个班，对家长也不太熟悉，所以也特别希望通过本次家长和各位家长进行沟通，使我们在教育孩子、管理孩子上达成共识。下面我就从语文学科方面向各位家长做一介绍：

一、我在教学上的一些做法：

1、立足课堂，提高课堂效率。

每周语文课是9节，由于升入五年级课目增多，课都排的非常满，根本上没有自习课时间，所以对于语文学科，那么多的教学任务容不得我在课堂上有丝毫的浪费，必须在课堂的45分钟里高效的，保质保量的把知识传授给学生，所以在课前我备好课，方案好每节课我要完成哪些教学任务，在课堂上我充分调动学生的积极性，让学生参与学习，重点内容重点讲，该放手让学生解决的让学生解决，力求当堂课任务当堂课完成，不留尾巴。通过一学期的教学，感觉班级学生上课状态比拟好，都能跟上我的思路，掌握了一定的学习方法，到现在上课时根本上不用怎么去强调纪律，偶尔对动作慢的，走神的的同学进行提醒，每节课的教学任务根本上都能顺利的完成，效果比拟好。

2、注重根底，注重知识拓展。

我认为要想把语文学好，根底知识必须过关，字词的积累、标点的使用、句式的变换等等，所以我要求学生每课的生字词必须会写会用，再就是注意积累课文中的好词好句，尤其是一些四字词语、叠词，一些比喻句、拟人句等等，为说话、根底素材。需要背诵的段落、古诗必须要背下来，我通过经常听写测试了解学生的掌握情况。根底很关键但随着知识的。增多加深，要对知识进行拓展，也就是不能局限于课本那点东西，尤其句式的变换，阅读题的理解，一些一题多解、谈感受，说想法的题目更能让学生把积累的语文知识发挥出来，真正到达拓展孩子思维，培养孩子能力的目的使学生学会从不同角度去考虑问题，到达学以致用，灵活掌握。

3、关注每一个学生，不放弃每一个学生。

在班级里无论学生的学习好坏，家庭背景如何，我都是一样的对待，一样的喜欢，孩子都是好孩子，就是我们做老师的，做家长的怎么来引导，去教育，如今打骂已不是解决问题的惟一的方法，也不是有效的方法了，其实换一个角度去思考，一次谈话，一次表扬，一次鼓励等等或许更能鼓励他，在班级里我做到关注每一个学生，从作业批改，从课堂提问，从一举一动，即使经常不业的同学我也经常去向他要作业让他补作业，告诉作为一个学生这样是不对的，上课也会经常提问他，而不是放任自流，我想我是对他负责任的，因为我知道他是因为没有养良好的学习习惯才这样的，我要尽我的努力来帮助他。对于班上的同学发现表现好的地方我就及时的鼓励，听写一百分了，上课认真听讲了，作业写的好了，考试取得好成绩了，或是表现比以前有进步了，“好孩子是夸出来的〞大人都喜欢听表扬的话何况是孩子呢，在严格的要求同时不妨多鼓励孩子，他会更有学习的动力。我执教的这一个多学期，我们每一次语文单元测试都会将优秀的学生和成绩进步的学生进行表扬奖励，家长们也可以看到我们的墙壁上有一块荣耀榜，分别有优秀榜和进步榜，以此来表扬和鼓励学生再接再厉，目前来看效果还是不错的

二、学生情况：

通过一学期的教学，对本班学生也有了较全面的了解，谁学习是什么状态，还存在什么问题，也根本心里有数了，大局部学生学习习惯都非常好，真的非常懂事，无论是课上听课，还是课下完成作业练习，都不用老师操心，完成的也比拟好，但也有小局部学生对自己不能严格要求，课上注意力还不够集中，需要老师催促，还有的同学不能及时完成学习任务或是完成的质量不高，存在应付的心理，学生本身对学习这件事认识不够，主观不努力，学习效果比拟差，听写错的比拟多，考试成绩不理想。从本学期两次测试成绩来看，本班语文成绩稳中有进。第一次测试最高分95分，最低分8.5分，优秀人数6人（85分以上）不及格11人。期中测试最高分94分，最低分16分，优秀人数24人，不及格5人，优秀人数增多，不及格的人数减少，但大局部学生的分数都有所提高，从两次测试来看，学生对我有一个接受的过程，现在根本上已经熟悉了我的教学方法，每次考试完我们都要进行质量分析，我感觉我们班的优秀人数还会增多，也就是说中等生还有进步的潜力，尤其对不及格的同学我很有信心，最少有2个五十分以上的争取及格。马上进入紧张的复习阶段了，一学期的知识更多了，学期末能否有理想的成绩，要靠老师的教学，要靠学生的努力，同时也离不开家长的配合，如果我们都尽力了相信一切会有好的成绩。提出来几点希望：

1、希望家长每天能抽出时间来过问孩子在校的情况，过问孩子的学习，在对待学习对待学校生活上正确引导孩子，上课纪律上、作业完成上过问一下，让孩子觉得父母是关心他的，让他明白老师教育他是对他的负责任，是为了他好。

2、希望家长能善于发现孩子的长处，耐心的引导孩子正确看待自己的缺乏，并帮助他们改正缺点。

3、家长让孩子多读有益的书。

4、希望家长能正确看待孩子的分数（不要认为分数就是一切，考试分数高，要引导孩子不要自满，分数不理想，应该与老师、孩子一起分析问题的所在，研究改良措施）

5、要规定孩子放学后必须做完老师布置的学习任务，家长最好看一下，不用管对错，只看是否完成或是完成的好坏，这样对孩子来讲是一种催促，也是一种习惯的养成。如果您放任自流了，那就失去了教育的一半，光靠老师是不够的，那知识稳固的这一环节就失去效果了。

6、希望家长能一如既往的支持我的工作，有问题及时与我沟通，给我提出好的建议，我们可以联系。

为了给孩子打下良好的根底，为了孩子能有好的未来，现在我们所做的一切都是为了孩子，我们共同努力吧，在今后的教学中我会尽我的一切能力把孩子教好，让他们学有所得，不辜负家长的信任。谢谢大家！

In my opinion, to protect environment, the government must take even more concrete measures. First, it should let people fully realize the importance of environmental protection through education.

Second, much more efforts should be made to put the population planning policy into practice, because more people means more people means more pollution.

Finally, those who destroy the environment intentionally should be severely punished. We should let them know that destroying environment means destroying mankind themselves.

Today is Saturday, I don’t need to go to school, so I decided to take some

morning exercises. Early in the morning, I went out of the house and looked

around, the city was so quiet. With few cars, the air was fresh, I felt so

comfortable. Besides the people who took the morning exercise, I found some

people who worn the orange uniform, they were working. This was the first time

for me to see the cleaners work in the morning, they were easily neglected,

because they worked so early and when the time for people to go to work,

cleaners rested. Watching these cleaners working, I feel so thankful for them,

they were doing the greatest job. People praised them as the city’s dressers,

they kept the city clean all the time and brought comfort to people. They are

the respectable people, we should applause for them.

Honesty means speaking the truth and being fair and upright in act. Considered as a virtue, it is admired in every country and every culture. One who lies and cheats is dishonest. Dishonesty is generally looked down upon as an evil, and therefore is despised and condemned by everyone.

As the proverb goes, “honesty is the best policy”. If you want to win the trust and respect from others, you have to be honest. People are ready to help and make friends with honest persons, whereas a liar is not believed even when he speaks the truth. If you want to succeed in your study and work, the first qualification is honesty. Therefore, whatever your aim is, you must work honestly to reach it.

Many people, however, try various dishonest means in order to get what they want. For instance, some people manage to get promoted by briery or telling lies. Some academic works are full of plagiarisms. Some students cheat in exams instead of making honest efforts. Money-oriented salespeople cheat consumers by advertising fake commodities. Such people are condemned and will be punished sooner or later though they benefit from their dishonest behaviors for the time being.

Around us , there are plants, animals and many other things. We live in nature, so to keep the balance of nature is very important for us. But today, too many trees are still being cut down in many countries and flood all over the world are getting more and more serious, A lot of land has gone with them. This is a lesson from nature.

When people move into a new place, they often cut down trees or pull out many wild plants to make farmland. They don’t know that trees can stop flood and wind from washing or blowing the earth away, and that many of these wild plants are food for some wild animals. If the animals can’t find enough plants to eat, they will die or have to leave the place.

In one part of the United States, for example, the deer there like to eat a kind of wild flowers. The mountain tigers there eat the deer. But people killed many mountain tigers to protect the deer. soon there were so many deer that the ate up all the wild flowers. Then the deer began to eat the green leaves of the young trees .so the farmers thought of ways to protect their trees, then the deer had nothing to eat and many of them died.

The number of trees, deer, tigers, wild flowers and plants has changed much—less and less. We need to do more to keep the balance of nature.

Now I am a young girl with a new dream——to be a doctor. I want to be a famous doctor, helping the sick and saving their lives. Why has my dream changed? Well, at the age of 11 I was ill, badly ill. I had to leave both my school and my friends and go to the hospital. Every day I suffered the troubles caused by this illness.

I also saw some people who were suffering . I made up my mind to become a doctor, so that I can help the sick people and cure them of their diseases.

I have had a lot of teachers in my school who have given me much help in my

study. For their help I will never forget them. But today I am going to talk

about a special teacher of mine.

This teacher is not a human being and its name is“Computer”. It has been

teaching me a lot of knowledge and I appreciate it very much.

With the development of modern science and technology, computers are widely

used in every teritories [every field] including education. How can a computer

be my teacher? How does a computer teach me? Multimedia(多媒体)helps a lot in this

aspect in recent years, and computer-based training (CBT) has become a popular

educational medium (手段).

Even before the multimedia come [came] up, many different learning systems

appeared, using the components and techniques we now associate with the term

“multimedia”.

Multimedia components, such as graphics (动画) , animations , sound and

video, make the learning process easier through visualization. Animations can

present many complex subjects dynamically, but human teachers can not do this on

blackboards. Multimedia makes our study more lively and interesting.

For example, a CD-ROM disk named “Encarta Encyclopedia” contains 650 MB

information including images, graphics, music clips, video clips, animations ,

texts, hotwords, and database search functions. Fields involved includes

physical sciences, performance arts, social sciences, politics, military,

education and so on. When pressing a button, I can hear American President

Clinton's speech clip.

I may enjoy playing all kinds of musical instruments in the world. I can

also see the animation of many physical phenomena. This makes physical concept

to be understood deeply [ concepts understood better]. The audio features of

multimedia can greatly help me learning [learn] foreign languages. With its

speech output capabilities, I'm no longer dependent on an instructor for proper

pronunciation.

How can I interact with a computer? There are many ways, including

keyboard, mouse pointer, and touch screen. I often use a keyboard.

When I press right keys, I can see and hear whatever I want. Information

world is at my fingertip. I wish that true speech input-output system would be

invented one day.

As teachers, computers have a lot of virtues： They are positive, they have

good memories and never lose any information stored in them.

They have much knowledge in every field. They can let out all kinds of

sounds, and can also improve the efficiency of our study. For example, if I want

to, I can skip some chapters so that I can study at my own pace.

Although computers will never take the place of human teachers, they are

welcomed by more and more learners. Computers will continue to evolve(发展)with

the aid of modern technologies.

Computers are so powerful, helpful and important that everybody needs it,

especially in the future! I love my computer teacher!

Someone said “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”. I don’t know who wrote these words, but I’ve always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want it to be. We are all in the position of the farmers. If we plant a good seed ,we reap a good harvest. If we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all.

We are young. “How to spend the youth?” It is a meaningful question. To answer it, first I have to ask “what do you understand by the word youth?” Youth is not a time of life, it’s a state of mind. It’s not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips or supple knees. It’s the matter of the will. It’s the freshneof the deep spring of life.

A poet said “To see a world in a grain of sand, and a heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand, and eternity in an hour. Several days ago, I had a chance to listen to a lecture. I learnt a lot there. I’d like to share it with all of you. Let’s show our right palms. We can see three lines that show how our love.career and life is. I have a short line of life.

part-time. he was a clerk and the two companies did business and so on.

months, has been yishion clothing store clerk and business sales and so on. work

in six months time, i have made some achievements, the company completed the

help sell some clothes. in my work, i had successes and failures, but regardless

Today I will find the grace to let go of resentments of others and self-condemnation over past mistakes.

Today I will not try to change , or improve anybody but me.

Today I will act toward others as though this would be my last day on the earth.

Today I will be unafraid . I will enjoy what is beautiful, and I will believe that as I give to the world will give to me .

Whether these are the best of times or the worst of times , these are the only times we’ve got . Live each day fully and you will look back on a life that made a difference.

Some people often say that gold and silver are the most valuable

things the world.However,I have my reservations.In my submission,reading is more

valuable than anything else.It’s well known that book is the quintessence of

human wisdom.Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body.

Sometimes our daily life can start to feel dull, dry or depressing — I know

it, you know it, we all know it. At times like this, I like to dive into a good

fiction book for a much-needed escape into another world, where I can forget

to a fresh and exciting place in the world of words.

Books are our friends. They introduce us different kinds of knowledge. They

lead us down the road to success.

Books are our teachers. They teach us troth, science, literature, and

philosophy of life. Besides, they increase our knowledge, enlarge our

experience,strengthen our character and do many other things which we can not do

without them.

Books tell us what is good and what is evil. And only books can tell the

good from the bad.

Therefore to read more books is the best policy for our young students.

Reading introduced me to concepts like mindful eating, relaxation

exercises, and the importance of loving yourself. If I didn’t read, I wouldn’t

even be aware of these ideas, which have defined my entire coaching philosophy.

If you don’t read, you could be missing out on intriguing ideas that would

likewise re-define your personal purpose or business philosophy.

As is well known, books teach us to learn life, truth, science and many

other useful things. They increase our knowledge, broaden our minds and

strengthen our character. In other words, they are our good teachers and wise

friends. This is the reason why our parents always encourage us to read more

books.

Reading is a good thing, but we must pay great attention to the choice of

books. It is true that we can derive benefits from good books. However, bad

books will do us more harm than good.

However, in current days,many of us spend most of the leisure time in

playing games or surfing the internet,instead of reading. it's a pity to find it

less and less our students are interesting in reading,or have formed a habit of

reading.So,in order to revive reading,this beneficial activity,we'd better take

action right now.let's read together,learn together and grow !

One is never too old to learn.No matter at what time we realize the

importance of reading,we can enjoy it during the rest of our life and finally we

will see that it is rewarding to do so.

I'm sure everybody is interested in dream, so I will share a story

with you.

When we talk about dreams,we are so excited.We all have our own dreams,some

want to be teachers,others want to be doctors,others want to be

scientists.However,not all dreams can come true,as people always give them up

for some reason.

A dream is to a man what wings are to a bird. With a dream in the deep

heart`s core, a man is spontaneously driven to hitch his wagon to a star. A

dream is an inexhaustible source of energy that keeps our enthusiasm burning,

and kindles our desire to enhance our spiritual cultivation, refine our

character, and upgrade our quality of life. A life without a dream is like a

bird with broken wings, confined to a cage and oblivious of what lies beyond the

range of its vision. On the contrary, a man with a dream is like a warrior armed

with ambition, foresight and gallantry, daring to step into an unknown domain to

make a journey of adventure. It is dream that adds fullness, variety, and spice

to our life and makes it worth living.

I would like to take Liu Xiang as an example.Liu,as the first chinese man

to win an Olympic track and field medal,dreamed of defending his Olympic title

on home soil.To achieve this dream,he was bathed with sweat on the training

ground every day.What’s more,now and then he suffered injuries.However,neither

the injury nor the pressure has prevented him from striving to achieve the

goal.Eventually,he kept or even renewed his record in the men’s 110-meter hurdle

with his perseverance.

It is true that barriers may sometimes stand in the way of your dreams,but

remember success is hiding behind them.Instead of making dozens of excuses for

your failure,just think about Liu Xiang’s story,hold on your dreams and never

give up.

If you do not want your dreams to come to naught,then hold fast to your

dreams and never give up.Just as the saying goes,”Do not,for one repulse,forgo

the purpose that you resolved to effect.”

If you can do the following points,your dreams will come true one

day.First,plant your dream in a fertilized soil.Second,water it with your

diligence and give it the best food----knowledge.Third,remove the seeds of

unhappiness for they can destory your dream.The most important is let the seed

of your dream enjoy the beautiful sunshine,so what it can grow well.And however

hard the situation is,o not give it up and always give it your best care.Then

you will get a good harvest in the end.

Dreams are what we pursue for a lifetime,with many dreams,we have

motivation to fight for our life.The opposite side of dream is reality.We have

to face reality everyday,reality is what we perceive in our life.Reality always

frustrates us to be successful.We need to balance them.

Youth

Youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind it is not rosy cheeks , red lips and supple knees, it is a matter of the emotions : it is the freshness it is the freshness of the deep springs of life .

Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite , for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20 . Nobody grows old merely by a number of years . We grow old by deserting our ideals.

Years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul . Worry , fear , self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust .

Whether 60 of 16 , there is in every human being „s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what‟s next and the joy of the game of living . In the center of your heart and my heart there‟s a wireless station : so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young .

When the aerials are down , and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old ,even at 20 , but as long as your aerials are up ,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you may die young at 80. That‟s all ! Thank you!

this is a glass of water, tasteless, right? however if you add sugar, it will taste sweet, but if you add vinegar, it will become bitter. the same is true with our life____ the flavor is created by our choices.

if kindness is added to a strange you will have a friend; but if hostility is added, you will have an enemy. if love is added to a pile of red bricks you will have a home, but if hatred is add to those bricks , you will have an concentration camp.

so my dear friends, never complain that life is boring and the world is disappointing. if don’t like the taste of your life, change the ingredients. three year ago, i weighed more than 100 hundred kilograms which caused significant embarrassment and frustration in my life. like always failing my p.e examinations, like always being laughed at by girls, like being terrified to speak in public. it was my grandmother’s encouragement that revived from my passive attitude to become confident in myself. she said “ my dear, if you can’t change you figure, why not treat it as your own style. so i began to cautiously employ the new way of thinking. by choosing to change my outlook on life, i developed the confidence to make a difference and finally i found a totally new world. so my dear friend, if faith, hope, love, endurance are added to your life, you will find the confidence to conquer your limitation and embrace new challenges. and hopefully with my speech included, you will have a fantastic speech contest.

First thing first, I gotta say,wow,it's funny thing to be given a chance like that.Trurh be told,I really got a little bit nervous before I stand right here ,so called 'stage fright'.If you look specifically on me .You may find my hands shaking,pretty assembles the guy who suffered from Pakinson's disease,and legs wobbling ,like I caught so-called ball leg. Okay,let's stop going around the bush and get back to my topic today.I really like to talk a funny story I have just heard.

A lady called Lucy emigrated to United States several years ago.Her spoken English is not that fluent .And one day,she is just sitting on the couch with his U.S friends Mandy watching Sit-Com.A noise of bump had the attention of Mandy,which led her to go out of the house trying to figure out what had happened.Can you imagine that Mandy go straight out with merely a sweater.So Lucy shouted at her,"Lucy ,turn your clothes on." What suprised her most,beyond her wildest imagination, is that almost all the male in this country took their head out of the window.Admittedly,Lucy made a mistake here .The word spitted means Mandy is totally naked to the reason that male looked out of the window.The right sentence shall be,"put your clothing on."The story inspires you to take a careful look on the vast difference between eastern and western culture.

Success for me

Hello, everyone! Good afternoon! I am very glad to have the chance to make

this speech. My topic is: how to achieve success. First of all, let us see a

story.

“Long long ago, there was a king who had a daughter as beautiful as a

blooming rose. To all the men who came to the king's palace to ask for the hand

of the princess, the old king gave them three tasks to be accomplished, each

next to impossible. One day, there came up a handsome young prince in the king's

palace." Well, you know the rest. The three tasks may be different in different

versions, but the main plot is always the same, Prince successfully passed all

the challenge and got the heart of the princess in time. And the ending is

always the same, finishing with the line "And they live happily ever after."

Why aren't we tired of this story so beautiful, so uealistic (, I would

say, so unimaginative ? How can a story like that can enduregenerations of

repetition? The reason, I think, is that a typical success story like this is so

close to our daily life. Moreover we can understand so deeply, it is not just a

story, but a good will from people’s inner heart. By implication, we see a

4-step definitions of success: 1 ) a goal to be set. as represented by the

beautiful princess. So you’d better find your princess as soon as possible; 2 )

challenges to be meet, as represented by the three tasks. Only if you directly

meet the challenge, can you besuccessful; 3 ) the process of overcoming

difficulties, as represented by the ordeals the youth goes through; 4 ) the

reward of success, as represented by the happy marriage. That’s all! Find your

princess, meet challenges, overcome difficulties, and have a good life.

I have been in University for about one year. During my stay here, I came to realize that university life is like drinking coke. We experience all tastes of life here, sour, sweet, bitter and hot.

I am from Province, which is far away from here. I often miss my Mum, friends, and relatives in my hometown. However, I can't see them very often. So loneliness always keeps me company. I am sad that I can't be there with them.

Lucky for me, life in university is rich and colorful. With more free time,we can do many more things besides study, such as joining societies clubs, and taking part-time jobs. Such activities not only make our life more colorful, but also help us improve all kinds of skills. The university is a society miniature, what we learn here will benefit our future life.

Our path in life will not always be smooth. Setbacks can't be avoided. Failing an important exam, break up with boy or girl friend, or refused by a promising company, such setbacks are likely to get us down. Sometimes we fell so frustrated that we even burst into tears.

Drinkin coke is wonderful, despite the undesirble consequent hiccups. It's bitter, sour and peppery, but also sweet. And you'll even feel excited after gulping down a glass. A college experience is part of growing up. We cry, smile, fall in love, get hurt, leave, learn and then we become a better person.

University life is like drinking coke. I'm experiencing it. And I know, I enjoy it!
