examination. i still remember the day before the examination. i and you ever

made great effort to realize a dream of entering a university. and now we are

but most freshmen are dissatisfied with the life in university in the first

由于人们都追求较大的价值量,当地许多居民便冒着巨大的风险从海外的岛上开采大石头并运回来.因石头较大,用作交易工具实在不便,所以岛上的居民进行交易时,并不搬动石头,而只是由石头的主人作一个口头声明,告诉大家这块石头已经易主就行了.据说,雅普岛曾经发生过这样一件趣事：一个富有的家庭自称在400英里以外的岛上有一块巨大无边的石头“斐”,以表示他家拥有巨大的财富.其实,那块石头到底是什么样,大到何种程度,雅普岛上的居民从没有见到过.这富有之家的财富也就仅仅作为观念存在于岛上居民的心目中.

1898年,德国政府从西班牙手中接管了卡罗莱群岛.管理者计划改造雅普岛上的道路,却遭到岛上居民的抗拒.

当德国人了解到岛上居民的全部财富就是那些分布于岛上的石头“斐”时,他们想出了一个制服这些居民的办法.他们派人用黑色染料在岛上所有的石头“斐”上画上黑色十字,并宣布这带黑色十字的石头不再是货币.这样,岛上居民一下子失去了全部财富,不得不按照德国人的意志,老老实实地修好了路.这时,德国人又派人将所有石头“斐”上的黑色十字洗刷干净,宣布这些石头还是钱.雅普岛的居民对重新获得财富而高兴万分.

不无遗憾的是,在货币经济时代里,金钱在相当大的程度上单调化了人们对于财富多样化目标的追求选择.金钱似乎代表着、度量着世间一切财富的价值,并似乎可以交换到世间的一切财富.人们对它的追求和拥有,似乎就是对一切财富追求和拥有的代名词.这样一来,人生的目的,除了追求和拥有金钱,也就不再有别的任何有价值的东西存在了.毫无疑问,这是一种假象,但这种假象迷惑的却是绝大多数人,特别是当金钱可以用来免除劳役和人身处罚、购买婚姻、抵偿生命时,金钱便与人生价值直接关联,“金钱万能”这种假象的程度就越发加大了.

基于金钱是财富的“综合代表”却不是财富本身,以及金钱并不能够完全度量、代表和交换一切财富的理解,我们关于金钱的智慧就是：在现实社会生活中,我们既要追求金钱,以获得它能够代表的财富(如住房、汽车等),也要追求金钱不能够代表的财富(如内心的平安);我们要拥有一定量的金钱,但不能够停留于只是拥有金钱的状况之中,也要享受金钱所能够交换到的真实财富本身,也就是要会花钱.否则,我们就只是空洞地拥有金钱财富形式,成为地道的“守财奴”;我们要在一定的时空里追求金钱,也要在一定的时空里放弃追求金钱来享受足够的人生闲暇.在这样的智慧人生中,金钱就将永远是你忠实的仆人,你就将赢得生活的丰富内容和人生价值的真实实现.或者说,你就是在智慧地生存和生活着.

关于金钱、金钱与人生、金钱与社会,历史上许多思想家都表现出了浓厚的悲观主义看法.马克思对于商品货币的“拜物教”给予过猛烈的抨击,认定商品货币条件下,特别是当劳动力转化为商品,货币转化为资本的资本主义社会里,这种“拜物教”具有不可消除的属性,它深深地奴役或“异化”了人的存在.因此,推翻资本主义社会制度,废除商品货币体系,也就成了未来美好社会理想建设的基本前提.德国的社会思想家西美尔认为,“金钱是世俗之神”的现实令人感到悲哀,因为金钱只是一种空洞的形式,不是财富本身,也不能够代表所有的财富,“金钱只是通向最终价值的桥梁,而人是无法栖居在桥上的”.与马克思不同的是,西美尔没有废除货币制度的理想设计,只是面对现实发出无奈的叹息,充满着不尽的悲情.

我们“很不幸”地生活在一个金钱存在的历史阶段和社会里.在可以预计的未来,我们根本无法废除金钱,但我们是否有必要屈从于金钱,或是沉溺于金钱的悲观情绪之中呢?至少,我以为是没有必要的.对个人而言,如能智慧地对待金钱来生活,只是将其作为一种生活的工具或手段,而不是作为生活的目的,我敢肯定,这种有着真实内容的生活,有着丰富财富结构的生活,也就是相对成功的、有价值的生活,尽管这不是也不可能是完美无缺的生活。

Money is what everybody desires. It can be used to buy food, clothes,

books, bicycle, furniture and many other things people need or want.

Money is considered by many people as the most important hing in life. With

money, they can go wherever they please and do whatever they want. With money,

they can buy a fine house to live in, fashionable clothes to put on, and a nice

bicycle to ride. And with money, they can employ attendants to serve them. In a

word, money can make people comfortuble and bring them happiness.

However, money is also the source of all crimes and brings them misery.

Since rnoney is so tempting, quite a few people are attracted by it and begin to

go astray. By hook or by crook, they try to make money. To get more money, they

gamble, swindle, steal, rob or do many other evil things, for "money makes the

mare go". As a result, money leads them to jail or even to the execution

grounds.

Of coarse money is useful and desirable, yet we should make money in proper

way and spend our money on proper things.

The duality of money has been puzzling people since its first appearante.

On the one hand, clean money can sweeten your life, help you succeed and be your

lifelong faithful companion. On the other hand, dirty money may posion your

mind, ruin your happiness and discard you suddenly as a false friend.

The market economy tells us that everyone should earn a living by selling

something. Professors sell their knowledge, workers sell their labor, farmers

sell their produce. Money now appears more powerful than anything else and

drives people crazy. The temptation of money often challenges one's honor. We

are not ashamed to make more money to have a better life by our sweat.

However,there is a widespread concern that millionaires become the heroes no

matter whether they make any contribution to our society. Some people try

desperately to make big money, which, more often than not, end up with

degradation, corruption and crime.

Though money is indispensable to our life, dirty money may drag us into

title of the speech that i‘m going to talk about is on money and health. Now as

you see, we have a society where people just concentrate on earning money to pay

off their mortgage, credit cards, holiday expanses etc, most of them fail to

notice the gradual decline in their health. To them money is much much more

important than health. As it says, " money is the root of all evil." I agree

with it. Therefore, it is now time for us to watch out for our health and

most of us have dreams about the future, dreams of having a good job and

making much money. surely someone has thought at times “if only i had a lot of

money, i could be the happiest person in the world.” in fact it’s the main

mistake that people make about money.

however, is money the road to happiness? not really! many people work every

day, work overtime, work weekends to make a lot of money. are they happy? no.

they are too busy making money. meanwhile, their personal lives, if they have

any, fall apart. they have no time to form or to maintain friendship. they even

lose the abilities to relax and to enjoy themselves. enjoying means taking

things, taking time to see, to hear, to taste, to smell, to feel. they do not

take time to do this. they say: “i’ll do it when i have enough money to retire”

then they find that it is too late.why we usually make such a mistake and even

more mistakes? activists say it is because of money itself. they think money has

changed many things. for example, they think money has changed our way to

measure someone’s value in the society. they even regard money as the source of

evil. also, they hate money, but they are wrong, completely wrong.

in my opinion, it is unfair to money. money is a tool. well, there’s no

denying that we do something harmful with money. but we can’t say money is the

source of evil. just like a hammer, we can use a hammer to kill someone, but can

we say a hammer is a devil? it is the same with money.

money is neither good nor bad itself. it is a mirror, a perfect and

important mirror, and a mirror that reflects both the darkness and the

brilliance of humanity. in other words, all depend on us.

so, my fellow students, ladies and gentlemen in the future, ask not what we

can do for money, ask what money can do for us, ask what money can do to show

the brilliance of humanity. because, we have the future; we are the future.

古人云：“君子爱财，取之有道。”它反映着人们的一种行为上的道德选择。这里的“道”就是指道义，道德。人们通过正当的、道德的途径取取得一定的金钱，这并不是什么丑事。正因为钱是一种可以支付和交换的手段，人们通常把钱和幸福生活联系起来，这也是可以理解的，无可非议的。我们不能把一切会赚钱的人都骂为“王八蛋”，但同时人们又绝不能把钱看得太重了，以至拜倒在它的脚下，不惜任何代价昧着良心赚钱。

我们经常会在报纸上、电视上看到某地的某位官员因收受他人的贿赂金额巨大，而被没收所有财产，甚至被判刑入狱。这些官员都已成了不折不扣的金钱的奴隶，宁愿拿自己的前途乃至自己的一生去交换那些带不进监狱，也带不进棺材的财富。这种行为显然是受到世人的指责的，因此我们更应该树立正确的金钱观，通过勤劳而致富，合法得利。

同时我们也可以认识到金钱并不是万能的，你可以用你怀里成把的钞票去买到关怀吗?你可以用你的金钱买到原谅吗?你可以用金钱买到包容吗?也许你可以买到，但那买到的一切都是虚伪的，而真诚是你永远也无法买到的。

金钱是为人服务的，人不能受金钱的役使。对金钱过分执着则会使人丧失许多美好的品质，眼睛里除了钱别无他物的人，其价值就等同于朽木。从前齐国有个财迷，每天都做梦能得到金子。一天早上，他到市场上去赶集，来到一家经营金银首饰的店里，伸手拿了一块金子，扭头便走。店主见状大呼“抓贼”。巡吏闻声赶来，抓住了那个人。巡吏生气地问：“你怎敢如此大胆，街上人这么多，店主也在，你怎么抢了人家金子就跑!”那人回答说：“拿金子地时候，我的眼里只有金子，根本没有其他人。”唉!这种人实在太可悲了!

让我们正确地对待金钱，在追求物质生活的同时，也不能迷失方向!
