一、日本医学专业申请条件

本科申请条件

1. 在国内完成12年教育。

2. 日语能力:N1以上水平(部分学校要求N2以上)。

Two of my main influences during the past few years have been from both

English and History, and this is why I wish to study them as a Joint Honours

degree.

Throughout Secondary School my interest and curiosity about English has

stretched beyond the A level syllabus. Reading a wide range of books from

classics like Great Expectations to contemporary novels such as Monica Ali’s

Brick Lane has allowed English to become more than just a sixth form subject,

and transformed it into something which I find both intense and exhilarating.

The role English plays in communication is something I also find deeply

fascinating as both a reader and a writer, as its impact on society is colossal.

In a world where both the media and politics use language tools to their

advantage there appears to be no limit to English’s influence, and no limit to

what remains to be discovered. Outside of my academic studies, I have had time

to enjoy English in the form of plays and theatre texts through taking part

amateur dramatic productions. This has helped develop my understanding, as it

has allowed me an alternative perspective of literary pieces. Although I have

enjoyed both my English Literature and English Language A Level courses, I would

not feel satisfied to end my study of English here, as I have only just begun to

uncover some of the many things further study would reveal.

History is also something I find engrossing, as its foundations have

influenced our society’s outlook. Although History is learning about the past, I

find it relevant to where we are today as previous events determine our future.

Although cliché, the phrase ‘history repeats itself’ is often quite accurate as

old events can give a greater insight into current debate and reforms in

society, something which I find extremely absorbing. Trips to places abroad have

also fuelled my want for more historical knowledge. After visiting the First

World War Battlefields I realised there were areas I had already studied which I

would like to go into in greater depth. Studying English and History as a degree

would give me the opportunity to do more developed independent studies in

specific areas.

Whilst Historians use English to portray a positive or negative view of a

series of events and analyse sources, those interested in English Language and

Literature seek a greater depth of insight and understanding of context through

Historical events. This is why studying both English and History as a Joint

Honours degree would certainly be beneficial to my understanding of both

subjects. Both English and History have allowed me to develop my ability to form

an argument and have strengthened my analytical thinking, skills which are both

vital in Secondary Education, a career I wish to pursue.

Outside of school I have been able to develop my personal skills through

working as a volunteer within the local community. For the past 5 years I have

been a Young Leader with children aged 5-7 as part of Girlguiding UK. In 2006 I

also completed 200 Millennium Volunteer hours working with young people from

less advantaged backgrounds as part of Forest Day Camps, a scheme set up by the

YMCA. Within school I have been part of the Senior Students team, which included

helping younger students in the school library. I have also been an active

member of the Redbridge Youth Theatre Workshop, and enjoy horse riding; both of

which have helped me develop confidence and independence through extracurricular

activities.

I relish the challenge Higher Education represents. As the first member of

my family to have this opportunity, I feel university is something which just

cannot be missed.

the dentist and the dental assistant. I appreciate the dentist is a manager and

a team leader running a small business. This experience has further reinforced

my desire to apply for dentistry.

My main interests are music, sport and sewing. I am a strong believer in

taking a balanced approach to life. My current job is quite stressful and thus I

attend the gym after work with colleagues where we play tennis, go climbing and

exercise. I enjoy designing and sewing my own dresses and thus possess good

hand-eye coordination. I appreciate manual dexterity is required in dentistry

and is of great importance when treating patients.I am excited about entering

the dental profession and can assure you I will make use of all opportunities

我记得,去年也是这个时候,我们在龙岗的最后一个月里为了选专业的发展方向无时无刻进行着空前热烈的讨论,甚至一直到深夜都还难以入眠!因为我们很清楚,一旦选择了一条前进的道路,就很难再回头了!经过了好几次的思想斗争,我最终选择了自己的志愿!在这里,我必须强调的一点是:本人的第一志愿是网络专业,然而,出乎意料的是两天后,张晓春老师告诉我被调制到了软件专业(本人填报的第二志愿),原因是系里的老师相信我一定可以在这个领域有更好的发展。经过跟张老师的几次交谈之后,我选择了接受这个意外的安排。

然而,在上个学期学习到一半的时候,我已经开始感觉到学习上的吃力,尤其是c语言这门课程。当然,不可否认的一点是我的逻辑思维确实存在着不足,而更重要的是我对这门作为软件专业必修的课程真的没有一点学习兴趣,尽管楚王辉老师一直在课堂上对我多加辅导,说实话,我真的愧对老师的照顾!在我们班,大家都公认楚老师的因材施教运用得当以及对大家的耐心培养深入我们的需要的。因此,我无法学好这门专业课决不是因为楚老师的教学问题,完全是我自身在这方面的学习能力很差!

后来,我向赵亮老师提出转入网络专业的申请,然而在赵老师的几次耐心开导下,我还是努力地告诉自己“再坚持一段日子!情况会有所好转的。”可随着学习任务的加重,特别是在这学期接触了后,我意识到了这种情况的严重性,对自己不擅长甚至不感兴趣的专业,这样的坚持无异于是在浪费时间,让自己走更多地歪路!

其次就是,我和班上的同学在相处上存在着一定的“代沟”!在这里,请恕我直言!

这个学期,开学初我就退了班级团支书的职位,当然,其中很重要的原因是我的身体状况越来越差!而其实这中间也存在着我对管理这个班级有种力不从心的挫败感!不过,请老师明白,这不是软件班的同学不好!就像我们班主任朱艳萍老师经常很自豪的一句话:“我们这个班级真的是卧虎藏龙!”的确,我想正因为这个班级里每个人都有其个性独立的一面,才显得它有自己的特色!所以,我无法融入这个班级,很多很多的原因是本人在沟通交流上所处的被动局面!

最后,我想谈谈自己转入网络专业的思想准备!虽然没有真正接触过关于网络的专业课程,据我了解,现在的网络班多学的三门课程分别是:linux、javascript、vista。虽然没有百分之百的肯定可以把这三门课程目前所需要学习的知识全部掌握,但是,我相信,凭借着自己在软件专业积累的学习经验,我有充分的信心,更有这份浓厚的兴趣攻下这三门课,毕竟,如果申请成功,我会倍加珍惜这份来之不易的学习机会!

In the deepest recesses of my memories is the boulevard lined with Chinese

parasol trees located outside my house. When I was just ten years old, my father

put me at the back of his bicycle and rode me every weekend to attend English

classes in the nearby community center (English was not part of elementary

school education in China at that time). On this road of questing for my first

western education, I, as a girl who loved to indulge in observations and

meditations, kept an observant eye on the changing colors of the leaves all the

year round. The rotation of seasons and the cyclical changes of the trees

impressed me with the transitoriness of life and the urgency of making my life

substantial within its transitory span. My present application for an advanced

degree program at your esteemed university is by far the most important step in

my relentless efforts to make my life substantial.

Dealing with figures has been our family tradition. As my mother is a

statistician and my grandma a certified public account, as a teenager I had also

commenced my observations and reflections on figures and calculations in the

statements and reports that they had prepared with strong curiosity and

interest. This interested strengthened my love for mathematics, often described

as the “gymnastics of abstract thinking.” From elementary school to middle

school, it was virtually a rule for me to achieve straight A’s in almost every

course related to mathematics, a talent which has always made me feel proud of

myself. Deep in my subconscious, I knew that a career related to mathematics

would fit me most perfectly. Therefore, when I gained my undergraduate

admission, I chose to specialize in Mathematics at Beijing Normal University. I

believe that this specialty has provided me with a perfect arena to give vent to

my passion for mathematics. My dedication to studies in mathematics and

effective strategies of learning, plus voluminous readings of technical

literature in various academic journals, have led to my top third ranking in my

class and a number of major scholarships.

My greatest passion for learning mathematics was stimulated when I came to

discover the foundational importance in social sciences, the essential function

of mathematics behind its abstract concepts and number theories. When I first

studied Advanced Mathematics, I was not clear about the real use of abstract

mathematical theories. This kind of puzzlement lasted until I found that the

genuine function of mathematics lied in its ability to solve problems in the

real world objectively and scientifically, to develop human wisdom, to enable

one to arrive at higher horizons and to examine problems with insights and

discriminations. The courses that have particularly fascinated me most are

Mathematical Analysis, Higher Geometry, Probability Theory, Mathematical

Statistics, and Matrix Construction in Mathematics. Those courses allowed me to

experience the charm of mathematics’ symbolic language and that of mathematical

thinking, in addition to its omnipresent utility.

As an undergraduate, I am most proud of my experience of constructing the

Social and Economic Growth Model as a team member representing our university

during a mathematical modeling contest in Beijing. As our three-person team

lacked the experience of applying theoretical knowledge to practical problems,

we felt at an impasse in the face of the challenging task. I took some time to

examine in detail all the mathematical models we had learned in class and

proposed the idea of dividing the entire modeling into individual modules and

piecing them together to form a complete model. Eventually our team was awarded

second prize at this provincial contest. In retrospect, it is precisely this

experience that aroused my serious interest in the application of mathematics in

the realms of economics and finance. To further develop myself in this

direction, I studied a lot of optional courses including macroeconomics,

microeconomics, e-commerce, etc. Thenceforward, I developed a new objective—to

combine my knowledge of mathematics with economics and finance and to exploit

the function of mathematics in social life.

My undergraduate thesis, entitled Vector Quantity and Geometry, though

purely theoretical in appearance, is actually a vivid description of how

mathematical theories can be applied to reality. It focuses on precise analysis

of those potential yet absolute relationships between different entities and how

we can uncover and examine those relationships from mathematical perspectives.

Rated by the department academic council as “Class A”, the thesis has been

accepted by the editorial board of our departmental journal for publication.

Apart from cultivating my rigorous attitude for scientific research and

developing my analytical and problem-solving abilities, I have taken an active

part in extracurricular activities. With my strengths in mathematics, I passed a

number of certification tests with much facility, including Microsoft Certified

Professional, Microsoft Office-Use Specialist, and LOTUS 1-2-3. I have been

correspondent and editor for our campus radio broadcasting station and campus

website. My English proficiency qualified me as a volunteer working for the

Beijing Worldwide Chinese Businessmen Meeting. In summer vacation, I worked

part-time at a local accounting firm where I exercised my knowledge of

mathematics and skills of electronic computation to establish for the firm a

financial database. I also worked on preparing business accounting plans and

digitalized financial management plans for the firm’s clients.

My experiences of social practices have permitted me to understand how

mathematics can best be used. As far as I am concerned, my lack of advanced

academic knowledge, especially my lack of in-depth understanding of economics

and finance, and my lack of formal and systematic trainings in those fields,

have constituted my “bottleneck” for further academic development. The overall

situation in China is that there is an oversupply of theoretical mathematicians

while applied mathematicians are sorely needed. Interdisciplinary subjects

between mathematics and economics, such as financial mathematics, actuary

science, economic engineering, and mathematical economics, are virtually

nonexistent in China. The consequence is that China’s economic development will

be seriously hampered for the lack of those important sciences. Great Britain

plays a leading role in the world both in financial sciences and in education.

Those two factors have motivated me to seek advanced studies there.

In this Personal Statement, I would like to indicate to you unequivocally

my intention to specialize in financial mathematics, mathematical economics, or

similar programs of an interdisciplinary nature. My choice is motivated by the

consideration that in China virtually all financial professionals do not possess

a strong background in mathematics, thus they rely heavily on foreign technical

models and concepts. However, China’s economic conditions and models differ from

those in Western countries and any unquestioning importation would be

counterproductive. My plan is to probe into the possibility of developing some

economic and financial models that best fit in with China’s circumstances based

on a critical analysis of Western models and extensive practices. Projects in

those areas will be what I am most concerned with and interested in.

London School of Economics and Politics is reputed for its time-honored

history, respected for its distinctive status in economics and finance, along

with its unparalleled research and pedagogical standards. Advanced educational

concepts and methodologies there would undoubtedly broaden my vision and

perspectives, enhance my fundamental skills in devising and launching

4、其他费用

电话费:在加拿大,电话费非常的贵,每个人一个月的电话费在82加元(430元)以上。

To me, art is like a mystery which is to be solved. I see an artwork as the

concentration of an idea or concept into a physical entity. The idea or concept

is rarely evident through just looking at piece; it requires analysis or

scrutiny to interpret it. This is why I am rarely happy with a piece of art

unless I can see some meaning behind it. Whether it is my own or another

person’s, I feel a great satisfaction when I discover an underlying theme or

message; deliberate or not. It is like poring over a cryptic riddle or a puzzle

for time until all at once it falls into place.

Perhaps it is my obsession with problem-inducing things: cryptic

crosswords, chess, Rubik’s cubes, poker, cribbage and scrabble that have induced

this vision of art. It is the same either way. If I am looking at a Mark Rothko

painting, Rothko has set the puzzle to be deciphered and I am attempting to

solve it, even if the answer is as simple as, ‘a perfect combination of colour’.

If I create an artwork, it will have hidden parameters evident only by scrutiny.

It may be easy to interpret or it may be difficult, it doesn’t matter. I don’t

mind if people don’t interpret it the way I intended; only that it makes sense

in their own minds and that it gives them that same sense of satisfaction that I

get when I solve a puzzle. You could say that that is the ultimate motivation

for the art that I produce.

This theme has also played a strong role in the work that I have been doing

over the past year in my Art Foundation course. In the last ’self’-orientated

project I focussed on my fascination with playing cards and chess combined with

the physical aspects of my life. This has developed into my current project that

concentrates on aspects of chance (chess, playing cards) combined, symbolically,

with aspects of purpose (religion, gods, fate, strategy) through many different

mediums, including customised board games and sculptures. I am intrigued with

hidden meanings, so I am looking at artists such as Joseph Beuys and Leonardo Da

Vinci who are known to use a lot of symbolism in their work.

My current work has developed from many of the foundation course projects I

have done since the beginning of the year. I feel that this year has been a

significant indication of what path I want to follow in the future. I initially

enrolled with the mindset of trying it out and deciding what to do later on in

the year. I have worked hard at keeping up with work and have enjoyed being able

to develop my own ideas creatively over the last two terms. The foundation

course has already taught me how to be broad-minded about what art can be, and

the learning process has been somewhat enlightening. Ultimately I have enjoyed

the course; whether it is experimenting with interesting ideas in my own space,

sharing ideas with my peers about what we are doing or constructing sculptures

in the workshops. Upon having wandered around the degree student’s areas a few

times just to look at the work that is being produced I feel a connection to

what they are doing and what I am currently learning about and it makes me want

to go further with my work. This is why I wish to continue on at the degree

course. I believe it will challenge me and help me to evolve the art that I do

to an even further level.

Since October 2007, I have had a Saturday job working as an assistant in a

butcher’s. This job requires me to make deliveries, clean the shop, serve

customers, prepare meat and I often help out at the hog roast functions that the

shop hires out. I have done my best to work hard at this, as it is the only

proper job I have had apart from a paper round. Alongside attending the

foundation course I feel that it has made me a much more organised and confident

person in terms of arranging my life. I have definitely enjoyed working there as

much as I have worked hard at it. To resound the work I have done I have been

offered more work at the shop and at supervising hog roasts during the

summer.

able to combine this interest in sport with a part time job as a leisure

attendant at local sport centres. As part of this post I was asked to lead a

youth sports and activities group which aims to promote sport among young people

in my area. This activity has also allowed me to introduce other young people to

activities that I have enjoyed. This role has also helped me to develop skills

that would help me while I am at university. The sports group involves arranging

individual sessions as well as trips out. This has improved my organisational

skills, which has reflected my ability to combine part-time work with college

effectively. Working as part of a team and serving members of the public has

also improved my social skills, making me more confident when working with

others.

I wish to study at university, not only for the knowledge that I will gain

from the course, but also for the experience of university life has to offer.

During my two years at college I have participated in various activities. For

example, I represented the college at an open day, volunteered as a collage

council representative for my form group, participated in a blood donation

scheme and was also involved in the shoebox appeal. These activities meant that

I have to be confident, approachable and polite. I feel these are

characteristics that will enable me to get involved with student life at

university. My ambition is to participate in conservation work abroad, before

gaining experience in a career based in this area. I feel the experience

outlined above and the knowledge I will gain from the course will enable me to

achieve this ambition.

我后悔自己太不认真,但是这又有什么用呢?!在被关在家的时间里,我就把那张试卷翻来覆去地看,我看错的题目,重新做它们,继续寻求更快更好的解法。这种开拓初次尝试是很累的,阿拉伯数字围成紧箍咒,向我的头上套去。

直到进入初中才逐渐意识到这就是所谓的“正确学习方法”,才了解“不认真”是过于笼统的概念。其实在不知不觉中,无论谁都会进步,譬如我并没有刻意去琢磨那些错题,而错题于我就像是甘甜的乳汁,有着汲取不尽的养分。后来当听到有人评价我认真、仔细、“肯钻”、“坐得住”时,我并没有多大的感觉。静下心进而回顾,已经在长年累月中成为习惯,岁月的流逝虽会将锋芒磨尽,但遗留下来的却是至宝。

而“衣带渐宽终不悔,为伊消得人憔悴”堪称现在生活的映照了。每天往返于学校家庭间,尤其是进入高三,重复单调的生活让人产生厌倦。可是我明白我所要追求的是什么,我为“伊”而憔悴,但却“终不悔”。这是希望的作用:当我看见新的药物治疗病人、新的材料用于生活、新的设备提高产率,看到人民的生活美好,我就会感到由衷的喜悦,这也就成为支持我继续奋斗的力量。

我看小说,我看其中所反映的社会现象,或者作者所要表达的美好愿望;我看动漫,我看其中所展现的美好人性,或者享受作品本身带给我精神的放松。我把我的感受写进博客,我为自己创造发泄的条件,于是有人评价我冷静、客观、“有思想”,于是有人说我赶得上潮流,有创新意识。其实这些都是一家之言,自己怎么样,只有自己最清楚。

我曾不太善交际,从而一度将“寂寞让我如此美丽”奉为经典。但是看到同学回家都有伴儿,遇到困难都可以向死党寻求帮助,我便也感到孤单与落寞。可是社会毕竟是自己的社会,个体的生存几乎都是靠个体的力量,没有谁会一直陪同自己走下去:父母会先于自己逝去,配偶则必须在成人后在“对的时间”遇到,朋友更不可能如影随形。我意识到了,也就尽力让自己融入生活圈,竟发现其实一切很简单,需要的只是善意、友好和坦诚。

我在高中遇到很多天资聪颖的人,在感叹的同时也逐渐发现其实“上帝在厚重的墙上开了一扇小窗”。“穷则独善其身,达则兼济天下”,虽然现在是一个人,但也必须从完善自我做起。在“修行”的途中所感受到的灵魂的升华是愚钝的我无法用笔描述的。我嫉妒过竞赛优异的人,并且在得知胸有成竹的化学竞赛落榜时也难过得无法入眠。但等到冷静下来细细分析,其实自身还有非常多的漏洞:气氛紧张时容易先入为主,遇到困难“肾上腺素分泌会急剧增多”从而影响思维。我努力克服它们,并且见贤思齐。

留学条件一:语言能力

语言沟通是否顺畅,对学生留学生活及学习都有非常大的影响,因此在计划出国留学前,语言成绩是考生必须要过的语言关。美国高中入学申请,通常要求学生提供这些英语成绩。

TOFEL

Junior:主要是评量考生的听力和阅读能力,以及篇章中的语法和词汇知识,这项测验评量考生在三个关键层面上的英语能力:听力测验/语意测验/阅读测验。

SSAT考试:“美国中学入学测试”,是就读美国优秀高中的学生必须参加的考试。SSAT主要测试学生的数学、英语程度及理解力。

留学条件二:年龄

美国高中最低年龄要求是14岁。美国高中是9-12年级,相当于国内的初三至高三。国内初二至高二在读的学生均可申请入读美国高中。

留学条件三:推荐信

高中毕业后直接出国,不仅要面临学习的压力,并且生活上也要全部自己打理,这甚至会给孩子带来心理上的问题。同时要有良好的适应能力,以及较成熟的心智,才能更快融入新环境的困境。

留学条件七:课外活动/领导能力

美国人非常喜欢运动,所以也建议家长最好有意识地帮助并鼓励孩子从事一两项运动,像篮球、网球、羽毛球、排球、棒球等。若学生在初中阶段担任过班级干部或其它社团或球队领导,对美国一流高中的录取条件,

我叫黄鹏,来自莱阳市第九中学,是地地道道的九中人,只不过现在又要在前面加上复习生的名号了。虽然高考不尽如人意,但此时说起自己的身份,我还是愿意称自己为“九中人”,这三个字几乎涵盖了我的整个青春,以后也将伴我继续走下去。这次以复习生的身份回到母校,千万思绪涌上心头,高中三年的点点滴滴似电影片段般一幕幕在我脑海中回放,当初的豪言壮志似乎还在母校的上空回荡,经久不息;恩师的教诲,朋友的勉励在时光的打磨下历久弥新,句句澎湃着我的内心。

虽然初入母校时的青涩已蜕变成了成熟,但想起那段懵懂的时光,内心依然久久不能平静。稚嫩的外表下装载着蓬勃的心,我开始了自己的高中生活。或许是初中两年的班长生涯使我看起来较为沉稳,也可能是中考成绩入了班主任的“法眼”,总之,我很荣幸地被授予了班长的重任,也从此开启了我至今三年的又一段班长生涯。

高一高二时的班级就是一群热血少年俱乐部,我们长论古今中外,激扬文字,点评江山,轻狂却不知疲倦。在这样一群心怀报复的知己的熏染中,在知识渊博的教师的教诲下,我的成绩也开始了稳步提升,更重要的是我的思想也从此有了雏形——我想成为强者!在与老师和同学们的朝夕相处中,我从他们每个人身上都学到了一点东西,我学会了沉着,我懂得了宽容,我明白了感恩……他们每一个人都是一本活教科书,我一页页读,一本本读,纵使现在不再生活在同一个屋檐下,但我依然可以很迅速的找出对他们的“读书笔记”。与大家的一起成长的过程中,我也在慢慢变强——成绩已经稳坐前几把“交椅”,心智也越来越成熟。

最终凭借较为优异的成绩升入了高三,进入了一个全新的班级。虽然许多东西都要重新来过,但从高一高二走过来的我已经可以很容易地融入新班级了。我一直相信,只要自己付出真心就一定可以捕获真心,所以虽然只有不到一年的相处,但是我与高三的同学却宛如相识多年的朋友一般,亲密无间。我们一起挑灯夜战,一起埋头苦读,一起奋笔疾书,直到最后一起奔赴高考的战场,很遗憾我折戟沉沙,没能跟上他们的步伐。不过,“短暂的停留是为了更高的飞翔”,终有一天,我会赶上去的,跟他们并肩奋斗,书写我们九中人的辉煌!

高中三年,我成长了,成熟了。我时常愿意把自己比作一个行者,一步一个脚印地奔赴远方,在人生的这条道路上,我不愿意落后于任何人,也不愿意亦步亦趋地跟随他人,我想走出一条属于自己的道路,留下自己独有的身影。虽然我是个理科生,但我却非常喜欢一个人静静地思考人生,我不害怕孤独,有人说,孤独就是你所面对的那个人,他的情绪跟你的情绪不在同一个频率。我非常赞同,但是我不认为我孤独,不论是我那些展翅高飞的朋友,还是跟我一样“留守”下来的伙伴,都是我吐露心声的知己,有他们在,我不寂寞。

现在的我虽然还拼搏在高考的道路上,但是单纯的考出高分已经不是我的目的了。不过,上一所如同贵校一般的名牌大学的确是我心所往。人都是为了未来而活的,我这次就是为未来而战!
