My Father

There is always a brilliant image living in my heart. That is my dear father. Seen through the eyes of many other people, father seems to be a very ordinary person. But he is quite extraordinary in my eyes, I have never lost my wonder at his good-personalities such as diligence, devotion, care, optimism ever since my childhood.

Being a farmer, father works very hard in the fields all the year round. He works from dawn till dusk every day and even till midnight when it is the harvest season. He seldom enjoys leisure with other farmers even if the farm work is not much. He chooses to live a busy life with reluctance to stop for a while.

Father devotes all himself to our family. As we are poor, he always tries his best to support our family and afford the tuitions for my brother and me. My Father

My father is a tall man with a pair of glasses. Everyone says he is a kind-hearted man. He often helps his neighbours and some strangers whom he doesnt know at all. He has really done a lot for others. I dont like him to do so because I think it has taken him too much time. When I discourage him, he always says with a smile,The world needs warm hearts.

My father loves his family, and loves his work even better. In the company, he is called workaholic He spends most of his time working, and often forgets to have meals or to go to bed.As a result,he doesnt enjoy good health. My father likes reading in his spare time. He told me reading was very interesting. I became interested in reading little by little. I like books, because they help me in many ways. My father has a bad habit he likes smoking very much. I hate it. See, the house is full of smoke. I know its bad for his health as well as mothers and mine. I advise him to give up smoking. Im sure he will follow my advice some day. Such is my father. I am proud of having such a good father.

If someone asks me who affects me most in my life, I will definitely tell him or her that the person should be no one else but my father. As a matter of fact, I have been much affected by father's humor, kindness, enterprise, strong will ever since I was a little girl.

Father is well-known for his humor. He always makes use of his wit and humor to relax tense situation at work. He is m humorous that his colleagues and friends all enjoy staying with him. He also uses humor to create a very happy family atmosphere. My mother tends to chatter over little things. Sometimes she talks angrily without any pause. When this happens, father just listens to her without a word. "Why don't you say a word, man?", mother is more angry at father. At this time father would give a cup of tea to mother, then replies: "Why not have tea first, my dear? Just take your time to enjoy it. I'm always your attentive listener." Hearing these words, mother stops talking with her anger gone at once. Such funny scenes often appear between father and mother which makes our family life happy and interesting.

i have had a lot of teachers in my school who have given me much help in my

study. for their help i will never forget them. but today i am going to talk

about a special teacher of mine. this teacher is not a human being and its name

is“computer”. it has been teaching me a lot of knowledge and i appreciate it

very much.

with the development of modern science and technology, computers are widely

used in every teritories including education. how can a computer be my teacher?

how does a computer teach me? multimedia(多媒体)helps a lot in this aspect in

recent years, and computer-based training (cbt) has become a popular educational

medium (手段). even before the multimedia come up, many different learning systems

appeared, using the components and techniques we now associate with the term

“multimedia”. multimedia components, such as graphics (动画) , animations , sound

and video, make the learning process easier through visualization. animations

can present many complex subjects dynamically, but human teachers can not do

this on blackboards. multimedia makes our study more lively and interesting. for

example, a cd-rom disk named “encarta encyclopedia” contains 650 mb information

including images, graphics, music clips, video clips, animations , texts,

hotwords, and database search functions. fields involved includes physical

sciences, performance arts, social sciences, politics, military, education

and so on. when pressing a button, i can hear american president clinton's

speech clip. i may enjoy playing all kinds of musical instruments in the world.

i can also see the animation of many physical phenomena. this makes physical

concept to be understood deeply. the audio features of multimedia can greatly

help me learning foreign languages. with its speech output capabilities, i'm no

longer dependent on an instructor for proper pronunciation.

how can i interact with a computer? there are many ways, including

keyboard, mouse pointer, and touch screen. i often use a keyboard. when i press

right keys, i can see and hear whatever i want. information world is at my

fingertip. i wish that true speech input-output system would be invented one

day.

as teachers, computers have a lot of virtues： they are positive, they have

good memories and never lose any information stored in them. they have much

knowledge in every field. they can let out all kinds of sounds, and can also

improve the efficiency of our study. for example, if i want to, i can skip some

chapters so that i can study at my own pace.

although computers will never take the place of human teachers, they are

welcomed by more and more learners. computers will continue to evolve(发展)with

the aid of modern technologies. computers are so powerful, helpful and important

that everybody needs it, especially in the future! i love my computer

teacher!

The man has a thin white hair, round face was full of years trace, fat body

is very thick, the shoulder is very wide, like a can rely on the mountain. This

man is the pillar of my home, I the most dear father.

"Dad" is a good word, called "BaBa" when I was a kid, that's my favorite

food, is also he gave me his family of food and clothing.

在我的记忆深处有那么一个人，或站立或弯曲，都已深深烙印在我的心中。

这个人有着稀白的头发，圆圆的脸上布满了岁月的痕迹，胖胖的身体很是厚实，肩膀很宽阔，像是一座可以依靠的大山。这个人就是我家的顶梁柱，更是我最为敬爱的爸爸。

“爸爸”是个这样好听的词啊，记得小时候叫的“粑粑”，那是我最喜欢的食品，同样也是他带给了我全家的温饱。

爸爸总是爱“唠叨”。

小时候见得最多的便是爸爸对我的那些堂姐、堂哥们谈论一些人生规划。

因为我的那些堂姐、堂哥们都要比我大，自然要比我先考虑些问题了。

我有时候很气恼，哥哥姐姐又不是他的孩子，他这么关心干什么。

但这些话我是不敢说出来的，而他依然像父亲一样教导他的孩子。

后来再长大些，他们再次谈论时，我也会在一旁听着。

看着爸爸认真严肃的脸庞和哥哥姐姐敬仰的眼神，忽然明白爸爸为何在我们这辈中的孩子当中更受欢迎，那是一种不自觉间就信赖上的力量。
